Ensuring that OnTime Delivery to Customers is maintained.&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong></span></p> <p><strong>Education</strong></p> <ul> <li>GCSE English &amp; Maths required. Relevant Degree / CIPS desirable.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li>3 years of experience in material planning and purchasing.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Knowledge</strong></p> <ul> <li>Working knowledge of Purchasing techniques and proven track record of cost savings and process improvement.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Skills</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong attention to detail.&nbsp;</li> <li>Good organisational skills.&nbsp;</li> <li>Use of MS Office Applications.&nbsp;</li> <li>Strong communication skills.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Job Responsibilities</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Procurement of components and finished goods in a timely, cost effective and correct manner.&nbsp;</li> <li>Procurement of 'non-production' materials, equipment, machinery and consumables in a timely, cost-effective manner.&nbsp;</li> <li>Sourcing new suppliers as desirable or necessary.&nbsp;</li> <li>Design, implementation and maintenance of Vendor Management Programme,&nbsp;</li> <li>Liaising with Production Manager to ensure efficient provision of materials and provide correct delivery times to customers and delivery information to Sales.&nbsp;</li> <li>Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information.</li> <li>Maintain purchasing databases/ERP parameters to ensure efficient material flow.&nbsp;</li> <li>Maintain a safe working environment which complies with all aspects of the company H&amp;S policies.&nbsp;</li> <li>Fully support companies SC21 activities and objectives.&nbsp;</li> <li>Any other reasonable activity as requested by line manager.&nbsp;</li> </ul>
