We design and deliver propulsion and defense systems that solve the most urgent and critical national security demands.&nbsp;</span></p></div><p>Ursa Major is&nbsp;looking for&nbsp;an experienced&nbsp;Buyer&nbsp;to join our team, who will report to the&nbsp;Procurement&nbsp;Lead.&nbsp;You will&nbsp;increase&nbsp;operational&nbsp;efficiency by&nbsp;engaging with&nbsp;our&nbsp;suppliers, issuing purchase orders, coordinating deliveries, and communicating timelines to internal&nbsp;customers.&nbsp;We prefer that you are&nbsp;proficient in informational flow and communication, which are&nbsp;necessary to succeed&nbsp;at a smaller, technical organization.&nbsp;You will&nbsp;support&nbsp;the&nbsp;Manufacturing&nbsp;team&nbsp;while&nbsp;facilitating&nbsp;engineering goals and supporting all organizational groups.&nbsp;</p> <p>We prefer that you are&nbsp;comfortable using modern ERP systems, MS Office suite,&nbsp;project management software,&nbsp;and&nbsp;have&nbsp;excellent communication skills.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Create and manage purchase orders for raw materials, additive and subtractive manufacturing components, services, and equipment needed for manufacturing.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Proactively monitor and communicate with Supply Chain leadership and internal customers on the status of open purchase orders and delivery timelines.&nbsp;</li> <li>Negotiate favorable pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with new and existing suppliers.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>&nbsp;Support and help drive oversight of the supplier management system, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations (ITAR/EAR, FAR/DFAR).&nbsp;</li> <li>Establish and&nbsp;maintain&nbsp;strong relationships with suppliers to ensure prompt deliveries and&nbsp;optimal&nbsp;pricing.</li> <li>Monitor, analyze, and report on supplier performance metrics, delivery commitments, and corrective actions as needed.</li> <li>Coordinate and support supplier non-disclosure agreement creation and processing.&nbsp;</li> <li>Attention to detail and ability to&nbsp;manage multiple engine programs in a fast-paced environment.&nbsp;</li> <li>Resolve any issues related to price discrepancies, delayed shipments, or damaged goods.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Identify and implement cost savings opportunities and alternative suppliers.</li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as&nbsp;Engineering,&nbsp;Material&nbsp;Control,&nbsp;Quality,&nbsp;Finance,&nbsp;to&nbsp;meet project and production timelines.&nbsp;</li> <li>Other duties as assigned.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>2-4 years of experience in&nbsp;procurement,&nbsp;purchasing, or&nbsp;supply chain, preferably in a manufacturing&nbsp;environment&nbsp;(aerospace experience is a plus).&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Proficiency&nbsp;in hardware-centered production environment.&nbsp;</li> <li>Project management&nbsp;knowledge.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience&nbsp;working in the Federal Government regulatory environment (i.e.&nbsp;understands FAR and DFAR&nbsp;procurement requirements and how they&nbsp;impact&nbsp;suppliers).&nbsp;</li> <li>Familiarity with&nbsp;modern ERP systems (experience with&nbsp;Odoo&nbsp;is a plus).&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>Colorado law requires us to tell you the base compensation range of this role, which is $68,000 - $85,000, determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
