About the role

Role: The Buyer, Procurement & Logistics will support M2X's manufacturing and operational teams by sourcing materials, equipment, and services required to keep projects moving forward. This hands-on role requires daily coordination with suppliers, engineering, manufacturing, operations, and finance to ensure purchase orders are executed efficiently, and critical materials and services are delivered on time.  The Buyer will oversee purchasing activities from request through delivery, manage supplier relationships, coordinate shipment and delivery schedules, and proactively resolve procurement and vendor issues as they arise. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, this individual will help align purchasing priorities with project needs, anticipate potential supply challenges, and keep teams informed of order status, lead times, and delivery updates.  The Ideal Candidate Is  A Strategic Buyer  • Proactively sources suppliers, negotiates pricing and lead times, and manages vendor relationships.  A Relationship Builder  • Builds strong partnerships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.  An Organized Coordinator  • Excels at managing multiple priorities, tracking orders, and maintaining accurate records.  A Problem Solver  • Identifies supply challenges and works proactively to resolve them.  Adaptable & Mission-Driven  • Thrives in a growing company where priorities evolve quickly.  Key Responsibilities  <ul> <li> Source and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, lead time, and reliability</li> <li>Solicit and compare quotes, proposals, and bids</li> <li>Generate, issue, and manage purchase orders from request through delivery</li> <li>Track supplier performance and proactively expedite critical orders</li> <li>Support contract administration and vendor onboarding activities</li> <li>Maintain accurate procurement records and purchasing data</li> <li>Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations teams to support project execution</li> <li>Identify opportunities for cost savings and procurement process improvements</li> <li>Lead freight coordination and logistics activities as needed </li> <li>Support documentation generation for SOPs, WIs, and Process Flows </li> <li>Support BOM integration into various systems and process inventory corrections </li> <li>Build and maintain strong vendor relationships while managing the full procurement lifecycle, ensuring materials and services are sourced, purchased, tracked, and delivered on time and within budget. </li> </ul> Required Qualifications  <ul> <li>Associate’s degree or equivalent experience with 2 years direct procurement experience </li> <li>Strong communication skills, high attention to detail, operate independently </li> <li>Excellent organizational and time-management abilities </li> <li>Strong skills and experience with Microsoft Office (Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) </li> </ul> Preferred Qualifications   <ul> <li>3+ years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or supply chain roles </li> <li>Proficiency in ERP/procurement software (e.g., Smartsheets, Quickbooks, Flowtrac, etc.) </li> <li>Experience in contract negotiation, vendor assessments, and logistics management </li> <li>AS or BS degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field </li> <li>Proficiency in vendor management software and supply chain systems </li> <li>Analytical skills with the ability to assess market trends and supplier performance </li> <li>Track record of working effectively in a fast-paced team environment </li> <li>Experience working effectively across various organizations (e.g., vendors, partners, stakeholders) engaged on a project </li> </ul> Salary Range: $45,000 – $65,000 based on experience  Job Type: Full-time,In-person with up to 5% travel Benefit Eligibility:  M2X Energy offers excellent benefits and career opportunities.
