In this role you will be responsible for executing CAE simulations independently, primarily supporting airbag safety systems. You will need to deliver high-quality simulation results, provide engineering insights, and contribute to product development through advanced CAE tools and methodologies.
Should you be interested in overseeing these tasks and aiming for enhanced performance standards, your role will involve:
Execute CAE simulation activities for airbag systems across global technical centers
Support CTC Engineering projects through CAE simulation activities
Develop and validate simulation models using tools such as Hypermesh, LS-Dyna, Pam-Crash, and Abaqus
Perform component-level simulations and analyze test vs. simulation results
Provide design improvement recommendations based on simulation insights
Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of simulation tasks and projects
Support development of robust CAE processes to achieve first-time-right quality
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders
Handle multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities
Drive continuous improvement by developing new methods and simulation approaches
Support engineering projects and contribute to business objectives
Ensure adherence to Autoliv quality and safety standards
Participate in daily team activities and process improvement initiatives
If you have/are:
2–4 years of experience in CAE simulation (3–6 years overall preferred)
Strong fundamentals in engineering mechanics and analytical problem-solving
Hands-on experience with preprocessing tools (Hypermesh, LS-PrePost, Primer, ESI tools)
Basic experience with solvers such as LS-Dyna, Pam-Crash (implicit/explicit), Abaqus
Knowledge of Ansa, Visual Crash (added advantage)
Experience in airbag simulation or automotive safety systems (preferred)
Programming skills for pre/post-processing (advantage)
B.E / M.Tech in Mechanical, Automotive, or Industrial Engineering
Certification or training in CAE tools (preferred)
Fluency in English
Willingness to work in shifts and support global teams

Role may require working in shifts to support global sites
