Campaign Manager
Do you know how to reach Gen Z women and girls where they are – and make them stop scrolling?
The Company
MovieStarPlanet is an international game studio behind two social dress-up games – MovieStarPlanet and MovieStarPlanet 2 – with hundreds of thousands of fiercely loyal fans who have played our games for many years. Our players are predominantly young women and girls who come back daily to express their style, connect with friends, and make their mark on the community. Creativity, self-expression and diversity are at the heart of the MovieStarPlanet universe.
We are a collaborative international team based in Copenhagen, where good ideas can come from anyone and your work has real, visible impact. The people here are skilled, passionate and have high ambitions for what MovieStarPlanet can become – many have been with us for years because they genuinely love what they build.
The Job
We are looking for an experienced Campaign Manager to take full ownership of paid advertising for MovieStarPlanet 2. This is a solo role – you will build the strategy, run the campaigns, and be accountable for performance. There is no one to hand things off to, and no ramp-up period for the core skills. We need to trust you completely from day one.
Our paid acquisition efforts are in their early stages. We have been running initial test campaigns, but the person coming into this role will effectively be building our UA function from the ground up – defining the approach, establishing the infrastructure, and scaling what works. If you are the type who gets energized by that kind of ownership and the chance to shape something from the start rather than inherit someone else’s playbook, this role was made for you.
What matters most is that you genuinely understand Gen Z women and girls – how they discover things, what earns their attention, and what keeps them engaged. Your background could be in fashion, beauty, lifestyle or social apps – what unites the right candidates is a deep familiarity with this audience and a proven track record of running mobile app acquisition campaigns specifically. Experience in mobile is essential; experience in gaming is a genuine plus.
More specifically, your responsibilities will include:
- Building and scaling our paid mobile app acquisition efforts across TikTok, Snapchat, Meta (primarily Instagram) and Apple Search Ads
- Driving performance with a ROAS-first mindset – setting targets, monitoring results and iterating fast
- Evaluating and testing new ad networks and platforms (such as Unity Ads) to expand our acquisition mix
- Using AppsFlyer to track attribution, analyze campaign data and surface actionable insights
- Analyzing creative performance and identifying what resonates with our audience
- Collaborating with our community manager and art team to make sure the right creatives get made
Your Profile
You are motivated by working with a young female audience and have a strong track record of reaching them through paid mobile channels. You are data-driven and performance-focused, but you also have an eye for creative – you understand what works on TikTok versus Instagram versus Snapchat, and why. You thrive when given real ownership and are energized by building things rather than maintaining them.
We are looking for someone with the following qualifications – all of which are required, not preferred:
MUST-HAVES
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on paid acquisition experience in a results-accountable role
- Mobile app acquisition experience – you have run app install and re-engagement campaigns, and understand mobile measurement, attribution and the differences from web campaigns
- Proven experience marketing to Gen Z women and girls – you know this audience well and have the results to show for it
- AppsFlyer – direct, hands-on experience you can put to work independently from day one
- Paid social experience across at least two of: TikTok for Business, Snapchat Ads, Meta Ads Manager
- Apple Search Ads experience or a strong track record with app store acquisition
NICE TO HAVES
- Experience in gaming, fashion or social app space
- Familiarity with additional mobile ad networks such as Unity Ads
- Personal interest in fashion, youth culture or social games
EDUCATION
A bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications or a related field is an advantage, but relevant experience and a strong track record will always take priority over formal qualifications.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary reflecting the seniority and scope of the role
- Flexible working hours
- One work-from-home day per week
- Daily lunch, monthly breakfast, plus snacks, soft drinks, coffee and tea in the office
- Monthly Friday bar, biannual team building events, and summer and Christmas parties that people genuinely look forward to
- Full ownership of a UA function you get to build from scratch – with direct and visible impact on the growth of a globally played title
- A small, tight-knit international team of skilled and ambitious people who care deeply about what they build
Are you up for the challenge? Send your application and CV as soon as possible – we evaluate candidates on an ongoing basis and will close the ad once we have found the right person. In your application, tell us about a mobile app campaign you have run targeting Gen Z women: what you tested, what worked, and what the numbers looked like.
Application deadline: 15 June 2025. We review applications and conduct interviews on an ongoing basis, so don’t wait until the deadline – we encourage you to apply as soon as possible. The ideal start date is immediate.
