About the role

About Bobbie

Bobbie makes European-style organic infant formula manufactured end-to-end in the U.S., because we believe every parent deserves to feed their baby with confidence, without judgment and without compromise. No mystery ingredients. No shortcuts. Just clean, thoughtfully made formula that parents can trust.

But Bobbie has never been just a formula company. When the 2022 national infant formula shortage left parents across the country unable to feed their babies, we closed our storefront to new customers rather than leave a single existing family without formula. We went to Washington. We got loud. And we opened our Heath, Ohio manufacturing facility to make sure something like that could never happen again.

That's who we are, and that's what you'd be joining.

Bobbie for Change

Our advocacy arm, Bobbie for Change, exists because making great formula isn't enough if the systems around parenthood are still broken. We fight for paid federal parental leave, push for legislation to prevent future formula shortages, advocate for feeding equity, and support families navigating impossible situations, including donating formula to parents impacted by breast and gynecologic cancers through the Bobbie Breasties program.

We're a company that genuinely believes becoming a parent makes you an activist. The people who work here feel that too.

Pay & Shifts

2nd Shift 3:00pm–11:30pm, Mon–Fri $22/hr (+$2 shift differential)

3rd Shift 11:00pm–7:30am, Sun–Fri $22/hr (+$2 shift differential)

Overtime: Occasional OT may be required based on production needs.

Your Recruiter will let you know which shifts are available at the time of your interview.

The role

You own the packaging line from setup to shutdown. Last stop before a can of Bobbie reaches a family. Fast-moving, hands-on, and mechanical — if the line goes down, you troubleshoot. If a can doesn't look right, you stop it.

What you'll do every shift

Set up, operate, and maintain filling machines, seamers, conveyors, and labeling equipment per SOP

Run quality checks on every batch — labels, codes, seal integrity, weigh checks

Troubleshoot mechanical issues in real time; document corrective actions

Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures for all equipment work

Complete batch records and work orders accurately — Batch Correct First Time standard

Clean packaging equipment and conveyor lines; maintain GMP throughout

A good fit if…

You've run a production or packaging line, operated machinery, or worked in a warehouse or manufacturing environment

You like hands-on mechanical work and feel ownership over your equipment

You stay focused and precise during fast, repetitive runs — not just at the start of the shift

You have no manufacturing background but you're mechanical by nature, detail-oriented, and show up every day

What the canning floor is actually like

Loud — high-speed canning equipment runs continuously; hearing protection is required and provided

Fast-paced — the line doesn't slow down; your focus needs to stay on for the full shift

Physical — you'll regularly lift finished product cases and equipment components up to 60 lbs

Clean but industrial — gowning requirements apply the moment you step on the floor

Shift preference

All three shifts are available. When you apply, rank your shift preference. We'll match you based on availability and what works for both of us. Being open to more than one shift means a faster offer.

2nd shift — afternoons/evenings, $2/hr more, good if you need mornings free

3rd shift — permanent overnight (not a rotation), $2/hr more, best if you naturally run on a night schedule

What we need from you

Available every scheduled shift — we use a point-based attendance system; exceeding the threshold is a separation event

On your feet 8–12 hours and lifting up to 60 lbs repeatedly — this is physically demanding work, every shift

Comfortable following written SOPs and completing batch records accurately in real time

Able to meet GMP requirements: hair net, no jewelry, no nail polish, no fragrances, dedicated footwear — every shift

Manufacturing experience preferred (food, beverage, pharma, military, trades) — we will train the right person

The honest picture: Regulated infant formula facility. FDA inspects. Concrete floors, loud equipment, continuous production. You gown in every shift — hair net, no jewelry, no nail polish, no fragrances, dedicated footwear. No phone on the floor.

If consistent attendance is a challenge right now, this role isn't the right fit — and that's okay to know before you apply.

Why Bobbie

We're a parent-founded company that makes organic infant formula in the US. We opened our Heath, Ohio facility because we believe families deserve to know who makes their baby's food and how. The people on our production floor are the reason every can meets the standard.

Work that matters — you're making infant formula that families count on

Competitive pay with shift differential on 2nd and 3rd shift

We promote from within and invest in people who invest in us

Benefits

Medical, dental, and vision — 100% covered by Bobbie for you, with subsidized options to add dependents

401(k) with match

15 paid days off + 10 paid company holidays

Boot reimbursement

Subsidized meals and snacks provided on-site

One-year subscription to Bobbie or Baby's Only formula

At Bobbie, we are committed to building a diverse and inclusive company.
