Senior Capital Projects Engineer

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Position Overview:</strong></span></p> <p>Solid Power, Inc. is seeking a Senior Capital Projects Engineer (Equipment) to join our talented team working to revolutionize the battery industry through the development of next-generation materials for all solid-state rechargeable batteries. This position will be a key member of the Product &amp; Operations team for the transition of Solid Power’s current electrolyte production technology to mass production. The Capital Projects Engineer will be responsible for the acceptance testing, commissioning, startup, and support maintaining operation of new and existing powder production equipment. This individual will develop preventative maintenance protocols/turnover plans, spare parts requirements, and assist with the specification and install of new production equipment.</p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Job Duties:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Support equipment proposal/drawing review, system installation, qualification testing (FAT/SAT), commissioning, and documentation.</li> <li>Support operation as a hands-on mechanically inclined engineer.</li> <li>Support in the assembly, operation, and maintenance of new and existing equipment.</li> <li>Support development of equipment maintenance procedures for all equipment to sustain equipment performance and reliability.</li> <li>Investigate equipment related issues to provide root cause analysis and timely corrective actions.</li> <li>Maintain end-to-end life cycle documentation for inventory of equipment and assets at Solid Power.</li> <li>Maintain as-built drawing set for P&amp;IDs.</li> <li>Support Process Hazard Analysis and implement the appropriate layers of safety procedure.</li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Qualifications/Requirements:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or related field.</li> <li>7+ years of industry experience in the materials production environment.</li> <li>Experience of installation, commissioning, developing SOPs, and refining equipment design of new equipment under a commercial powder production environment is a plus.</li> <li>Analytical skills for troubleshooting materials production equipment problems.</li> <li>Interpersonal skills in developing positive working relations to interface well with other engineers, scientists, and operations personnel.</li> <li>Familiarity with AutoCAD, Solid Works, electrical diagrams, P&amp;IDs, and general arrangement drawings is a plus.</li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary including, but not limited to eye protection, hair net, gloves, face mask, coveralls, full-face respirator or PAPR.</li> </ul> <p><strong><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Salary Range:</span> </strong>$104,000 - $156,000/year</p> <p><strong><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Benefits:</span>&nbsp;</strong>Solid Power offers a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical/dental/vision insurance, employer paid Life/AD&amp;D/STD/LTD insurance, 401k with company match, 8 paid holidays + the week between Christmas and New Years off, Unlimited PTO, up to six (6) weeks paid FMLA leave, cell phone reimbursement and eligibility to participate in our bonus and equity plans.&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong><span data-contrast="none"><span data-ccp-parastyle="heading 4">Export Control Requirements:</span></span></strong></span><span data-contrast="none"><span data-ccp-parastyle="heading 4"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">&nbsp;</span>This position&nbsp;</span><span data-ccp-parastyle="heading 4">could&nbsp;</span><span data-ccp-parastyle="heading 4">r</span><span data-ccp-parastyle="heading 4">equire</span><span data-ccp-parastyle="heading 4">&nbsp;access to technology, software and other information that is subject to governmental access control restrictions, due to export controls.
