Help us save lives and make a difference. </div> <div> </div> What You'll Do: The Care and Safety Specialist helps in creating a welcoming, safe, and recovery-oriented environment for individuals, staff, and visitors. This role serves as a front-line presence at facility entrances, offering hospitality, guidance, and support while ensuring that basic safety procedures are followed. Care and Safety Specialists contribute to a calm, respectful atmosphere by building rapport, supporting individuals in distress, and assisting in de-escalation using trauma-informed approaches. Drawing from lived experience in recovery, the Specialist offers empathy, encouragement, and hope as part of a collaborative care team. <ul> <li>Greet individuals, visitors, and staff warmly upon arrival and offer assistance, information, or direction as needed.</li> <li>Provide a consistent, friendly presence to support a positive and respectful environment.</li> <li>Assist individuals with check-in procedures, visitor processes, and general inquiries.</li> <li>Monitor public and common areas to identify and communicate any facility or safety concerns to the appropriate team members.</li> <li>Maintain awareness of the flow of individuals entering and exiting the facility and communicate observations that may support overall safety and operations.</li> <li>Respond calmly and appropriately during incidents or disruptions by notifying and supporting the appropriate staff.</li> <li>Use trauma-informed communication and de-escalation techniques to support individuals who may be experiencing stress or distress.</li> <li>Collaborate with clinical and operational staff to support a smooth and organized environment throughout the facility.</li> <li>Maintain a tidy and welcoming front-desk area, ensuring materials, signage, and supplies are up to date.</li> <li>Ensure adherence to facility policies regarding visitor access, contraband, and security screenings.</li> <li>Perform light facility-support tasks as needed, such as assisting with visitor badges, coordinating deliveries, or helping direct foot traffic.</li> <li>Attend trainings, maintain required certifications, and participate in safety/security drills.</li> <li>Safely and effectively perform Safe Clinch patient restraint techniques, ensuring the safety and dignity of individuals and staff.</li> <li>Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission of providing a safe, recovery-oriented environment. </li> </ul> What You'll Bring: <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent required</li> <li>Experience in customer service, hospitality, human services, or similar roles preferred</li> <li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a warm, professional demeanor</li> <li>Ability to remain calm, patient, and clear-headed in fast-paced or stressful situations</li> <li>Comfortable engaging with individuals who may be in emotional distress</li> <li>Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods as needed</li> <li>Commitment to trauma-informed, person-centered practices</li> <li>Must be able to perform Safe Clinch patient restraint techniques in alignment with facility policies and training standards</li> <li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills</li> <li>Ability to remain calm and effective in high-stress or emergency situations</li> <li>The Company has a mandatory vaccination policy.
