Caseload Assistant

<p>The United Firm | La Liga Defensora, APC in&nbsp;<strong>Orange County </strong>is looking for a <strong>2nd-step</strong> <strong>Case Assistant</strong> for the&nbsp;<strong>Immigration Department</strong>. As a Case Assistant, you will be assigned administrative and clerical tasks such as; filing documents, retrieving files, distributing mail, making copies, scanning documents and generating new files for new contracts. This position reports to the assigned Immigration Attorney.<br><br><strong>Primary Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Work in a team environment to ensure the preparation of documents.</li> <li>Organizing, distributing, or tracking documents according to departmental procedures</li> <li>Provide mail to departments and individuals</li> <li>Ensure filing, preparation, and scanning of documents and correspondence.</li> <li>Keep detailed records of all incoming documents and file accordingly</li> <li>Assist with all administrative tasks.</li> <li>Reviewing existing cases to identify matters ready to proceed with attorney analysis</li> <li>Reviewing internal notes and client documents to prepare notes and summaries for attorney review</li> <li>Speaking with clients to explain the attorney's recommendations for the next case steps and to relay the attorney's case analysis</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><br><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Education: High School Diploma / GED (or higher)</li> <li>1+ years of Immigration experience</li> <li>1+ years of experience using Microsoft Excel, edit, sort/filter and save spreadsheets (can maintain complex spreadsheets).</li> <li>1+ years of office experience</li> <li>Bilingual (English/Spanish) required</li> </ul> <p>Pay range: $16/hr- $18/hr<br><br>Here at The United Firm | La Liga Defensora, APC <strong>we offer medical, dental, and vision insurance.
