Cashier - NYC Sales

 

Job description

Cashier responsibilities include processing cash and card transactions, maintaining accurate cash drawers, and responding to phone calls. They also manage inventory for uniforms and supplies and perform minor POS terminal repairs.

Core responsibilities:

Operational Duties

• Transaction Management: Cashiers operate registers, scanners, and card terminals to process sales accurately. They must meticulously document paperwork and reconcile cash drawers daily to address any overages or shortages.
• Technical Maintenance: Staff are responsible for maintaining and performing minor repairs on POS terminals. This includes ensuring all terminal, phone, and printer software versions are current.

Inventory and Facility Care

• Stock Control: Responsibilities include counting and organizing inventory such as uniforms, brochures, and stock room supplies. They are expected to keep the cashier's office and locker areas in a welcoming, clean condition.
• Administrative Support: Cashiers handle incoming phone calls, organize and file paperwork, and may assist with onboarding documentation for new Independent Contractors.

Customer Service and Compliance

• Service Excellence: Providing courteous service to customers and internal contractors is a core requirement. They must have a working knowledge of all company products to understand tour packages and pricing.
• Regulatory Adherence: Roles will involve ensuring compliance with DCWP licenses and TopView ID renewals. Customer Service Agents specifically focus on outdoor ticket printing and assisting with terminal and app downloads.

Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
