About the role
Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and efficient Chat Support Agent to assist customers in real time via live chat and messaging platforms. This fully remote role is perfect for someone who can type quickly, think on their feet, and deliver friendly, accurate support with every interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to customer queries promptly and professionally via live chat and messaging platforms
- Resolve product, service, and account-related questions accurately and efficiently
- Handle multiple simultaneous chat conversations while maintaining quality
- Escalate complex issues to the appropriate team when necessary
- Log all chat interactions in the CRM or helpdesk system accurately
- Contribute to the improvement of chat scripts, FAQs, and support documentation
- Meet response time targets and customer satisfaction (CSAT) score benchmarks
Qualifications and Experience
- 1+ year of experience in live chat support, customer service, or a similar role
- Fast and accurate typing skills (minimum 45 WPM)
- Strong written communication skills — clear, friendly, and professional
- Ability to manage multiple chats simultaneously without compromising quality
- Familiarity with helpdesk or chat tools (Zendesk, Intercom, Freshchat, or similar)
- Patient, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure
- Reliable home office setup with stable internet connection
- Matric certificate required
Salary: R16,000/month | 100% Remote
