You will lead the design, development, and sustainment of advanced radar systems that integrate Echodyne’s innovative MESA technology with complex hardware and software subsystems. The Chief Engineer collaborates across a world-class, multidisciplinary engineering team to translate product requirements into robust and achievable system architectures, guide concurrent development efforts, and ensure seamless integration and exceptional performance across all subsystems. Your leadership will be critical in Echodyne delivering innovative, reliable, and high-impact products that set new standards in radar technology.</p> <h3><strong><span style="color: #005cb9;" data-darkreader-inline-color="">REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE</span></strong></h3> <p></p> <ul> <li>MS Degree or higher in Engineering</li> <li>7 or more years of experience in engineering &nbsp;of electronic products</li> <li>Experience leading a multi-disciplinary engineering team developing hybrid products and systems comprised of broad spectrum of hardware and software components, such as:</li> <li>Electrical Printed Circuit Board Assemblies, including digital, analog, mixed signal, and RF circuits</li> <li>Mechanical components and assemblies with structural, shielding, and thermal management functions</li> <li>Custom, semicustom, programmable, and off-the-shelf digital and mixed signal integrated circuits</li> <li>Embedded firmware, embedded operating system, and application-level software</li> <li>Middleware and companion applications that interface with hardware platforms</li> <li>Demonstrated leadership in system architecture definition and decomposition, including definition of systems and subsystems requirements</li> <li>Experience with Design for Excellence methodologies and Continuous Improvement to achieve designs that are producible, reliable, durable, and perform as expected</li> <li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to align technical execution with strategic business goals and effectively engage stakeholders across engineering, product and leadership teams</li> <li>Experience identifying, assessing, and managing technical and programmatic risk through the establishment of an appropriate risk posture and developing mitigation strategies</li> <li>Ability to provide technical mentorship and team development through fostering a culture of innovation, accountability and growth</li> </ul> <h3><strong><span style="color: #005cb9;" data-darkreader-inline-color="">DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE&nbsp; <br><span style="font-size: 10pt;">(Looking for one or more as a complement to the core skills)</span></span></strong><span style="font-size: 10pt;">&nbsp;</span></h3> <ul> <li>Experience developing FMCW or Pulse-Doppler radar systems</li> <li>Experience with Inertial and/or GPS navigation systems</li> </ul> <blockquote> <p><strong><span style="font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;" data-darkreader-inline-color="">Echodyne’s technology is export controlled by the U.S. Government and we must evaluate an applicant’s eligibility to handle export-controlled information or obtain required Government authorizations.  Therefore, we will ask you as part of the application process to identify whether you are a U.S. Citizen or green card holder, or have asylum/refugee status in the U.S.&nbsp;</span></strong></p> </blockquote> <hr> <h3><strong><span style="color: #005cb9;" data-darkreader-inline-color="">WHAT WE OFFER</span></strong></h3> <h3>This is an exempt role.&nbsp;</h3><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="title">The expected annual salary range for this role is</div><div class="pay-range"><span>$197,451</span><span class="divider">&mdash;</span><span>$296,228 USD</span></div></div></div><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>If your skills generally align but not perfectly, please apply anyway.
