Chief Financial Officer

<p>&nbsp;</p> <p data-start="122" data-end="506">We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to shape the financial strategy of our fast-growing company. In this critical leadership role, you will oversee all financial operations, drive strategic decision-making, and partner with the executive team to fuel growth and long-term value creation. This is a unique opportunity to influence the trajectory of our business, optimize performance, and play a central role in advancing our mission in the ESG software space.</p> <h3>Reponsibilities&nbsp;</h3> <ul> <li> <h4><strong>Strategic Finance &amp; Leadership</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO on financial planning, growth strategy, and capital allocation.</li> <li>Build and lead a high-performing finance organization, balancing rigor with agility.</li> <li>Provide financial insight and decision support across all business functions (Sales, Product, Operations, HR).</li> <li>Oversee revenue management, including forecasting, pricing strategies, contract renewals, and revenue recognition in compliance with accounting standards.</li> <li>Manage procurement strategy and vendor relationships to optimize cost, risk, and operational efficiency.</li> </ul> <h4><strong>Fundraising &amp; Investor Relations</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Lead equity and debt fundraising processes, including VC rounds, extensions, and strategic financings</li> <li>Develop and maintain investor materials (pitch decks, financial models, data rooms)</li> <li>Manage relationships with existing and prospective investors, lenders, and financial advisors</li> <li>Own board and investor reporting, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and strategic insight</li> </ul> <h4><strong>M&amp;A and Corporate Development</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Identify, evaluate, and execute M&amp;A, partnership, and strategic investment opportunities</li> <li>Lead financial due diligence, valuation, deal structuring, and negotiations</li> <li>Oversee post-acquisition integration from a financial and operational perspective</li> <li>Coordinate with legal, tax, and external advisors throughout transactions</li> </ul> <h4><strong>Financial Operations &amp; Execution</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Own all core financial operations, including accounting, payroll, and statutory reporting across jurisdictions (as applicable).</li> <li>Ensure strong internal controls, compliance, and audit readiness.</li> <li>Lead tax planning and regulatory compliance, supporting operational scalability and risk mitigation.<br>Manage contract administration processes, ensuring timely renewals and alignment with revenue recognition policies.</li> </ul> <h4><strong>Financial Infrastructure &amp; Systems</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Implement and scale financial systems, processes, and reporting tools appropriate for a growing company.</li> <li>Ensure data integrity, timely actionable financial reporting, and alignment with revenue management processes.</li> <li>Support operational scalability and readiness for future milestones (e.g., IPO, large acquisitions).</li> <li>Optimize procurement systems and workflows to drive efficiency and cost savings.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Proven experience as a CFO with a track record of success in financial leadership in a technology scale-up;</li> <li>10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including time in a senior finance role (CFO, VP Finance, or equivalent)</li> <li>Proven experience leading <strong>VC-backed fundraising</strong> (multiple rounds strongly preferred)</li> <li>Demonstrated <strong>M&amp;A experience</strong>, including deal execution and integration<br>Strong background as a <strong>financial operator</strong>, with hands-on ownership of accounting, FP&amp;A, and cash management</li> <li>Experience working with Boards of Directors and senior leadership teams</li> <li>Prior experience in a high-growth, technology or SaaS environment preferred</li> <li>CPA, CFA, MBA, or equivalent credentials a plus</li> <li>Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills;</li> <li>Excellent verbal and communication skills (Bilingualism French and English);</li> <li>Strong financial acumen and analytical skills;</li> <li>Familiarity with accounting and payroll software (Wagepoint, Xero, Dext, Ramp, Deel, Float Card, etc.).</li> </ul> <h4><strong>What we offer:</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Join an early-stage, well-financed company</li> <li>Advance Novisto’s purpose of contributing to the sustainability of the economy, environment, and society by empowering companies to make better decisions and disclosures through our ESG data management software</li> <li>Contribute your knowledge and insights to increase awareness and knowledge of sustainability</li> <li>Generous health benefits&nbsp;</li> <li>Flexible schedules</li> <li>4 weeks of vacation&nbsp;</li> <li>Stock option plan</li> </ul>
