Child/Youth Day Treatment School Specialist

We have an immediate need for a Child Youth Specialist in our Day Treatment Program. This position provides "hands-on" client monitoring, supervision, therapeutic activities and behavioral interventions in the Day Treatment Program. The Child/Youth Specialist will provide on-site client supervision on community outings and during van transportation; facilitates/co-facilitates groups and other therapeutic activities; and provides crisis support as needed. This highly visible position will have an opportunity to provide a positive environment for kids who are in need of understanding, patience and a can-do attitude.</p> <p><strong>***Position receives 4 extra weeks of PTO following the normal school year plus end of school year bonus</strong></p> <p><strong>Education</strong>:<br>• Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or related field involving child and youth population with mental health needs</p> <p><strong>Experience</strong>:<br>• One (1) to two (2) years internship experience (preferred)<br>• Group facilitation experience (preferred)</p> <p><strong>Licensure/Certifications</strong>:<br>• QMHS- qualified mental health specialist (employer provided)<br>• AMD- Aggressive Management De-escalation/Physical Hold Training within first 6 months of employment<br>• For positions that may transport clients: Must have an acceptable driving record (4 points of less), reliable transportation, and carry automobile insurance with minimum liability limits of <strong>$100,000/$300,000 and property damage of $50,000</strong><br>• BLS/CPR/First Aid (as applicable, company provided)</p> <p><strong>Physical Requirements and Work Environment</strong>:<br>• Drug Screen, TB Test, Background check (required)<br>• Setting: Day Treatment<br>• Schedule: 8:00 am- 4:00 pm Monday-Friday<br>• Travel: Transport and monitoring of clients in large 12 passenger vehicle. Comfortable making home visits throughout the community and transport clients in agency vans</p> <p>The anticipated hiring range for this position is $20.00 - $20.50 per hour.
