You will play a vital role in delivering individualised care to young people referred to our service, helping them grow, develop new skills, and overcome challenges.</p> <p><strong>Why Join Us as a Children’s Residential Care Worker:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Flexible rostering focused on work-life balance</li> <li>Core professional training in essential subjects</li> <li>Team-building activities &amp; social events</li> <li>Education assistance grants</li> <li>Health insurance grant &amp; life insurance</li> <li>Incremental pay scale</li> <li>Pension contribution match</li> </ul> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop and implement individualised Behaviour Support Plans and Placement Plans</li> <li>Support young people with educational activities, both at home and in school</li> <li>Deliver responsive residential care aligned with our therapeutic model</li> <li>Maintain accurate daily records and communicate with parents, professionals, and referral agents</li> <li>Participate in team meetings, training, and service development</li> <li>Manage petty cash, assist with domestic routines, and contribute to a homely environment</li> <li>Uphold safeguarding protocols, confidentiality, and company policies</li> </ul> <p><strong>Educational Requirements:</strong></p> <p>A minimum Level 7 qualification in Social Care or a relevant and related field that meets the criteria to be registered as a Social Care Worker with CORU.</p> <p>Relevant alternative qualifications include:</p> <ul> <li>QQI Level 8 in Psychology</li> <li>QQI Level 7 or Professional Practice Qualification in Child &amp; Adolescent Psychotherapy</li> <li>QQI Level 7 or Professional Practice Qualification in Counselling / Psychotherapy</li> <li>QQI Level 7 or Professional Practice Qualification in Addiction Counselling</li> <li>QQI Level 7 in Youth and Community or similar</li> <li>QQI Level 7 in Social Science / Social Studies</li> <li>QQI Level 7 in Family Support</li> <li>Professional Qualification in Teaching (Not TEFL)</li> <li>Professional Qualification in Nursing Studies</li> <li>QQI Level 7 in Disability Studies</li> <li>QQI Level 7 in Applied Behavioural Analysis</li> <li>QQI Level 7 in Early Years Care (where centre caters for children under 12 years)</li> <li>BA in Applied Policing or equivalent</li> <li>Holder of Higher Certificate in Custodial Care (Irish Prison Service) or equivalent</li> <li>No qualification or non-relevant qualification but holder of CORU registration as a Social Care Worker</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Criteria:</strong></p> <ul> <li>A full, clean manual driving license that is valid in Ireland</li> <li>Familiarity with the Irish National Standards in Children’s Residential Centres</li> <li>Experience working with teenagers exhibiting challenging behaviour</li> <li>Right to work and live in Ireland</li> </ul> <p><strong>Reasonable Adjustments:</strong></p> <p>If you consider yourself to have a disability or require any reasonable adjustment during the recruitment process or within the workplace, please highlight this at the earliest opportunity by contacting our team.</p> <p>We are unable to support or accept applications from candidates who are residents within the Red or Amber list of the World Health Organisation (WHO) Workforce Support and Safeguard List.</p> <p>BH - 197508<br>GH - 34398</p>
