Additional compensation may include overtime, company vehicle, and bonus opportunities.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</p> <p>The Opportunity</p> <p>We are seeking an experienced Chiller Service Technician. This position will be responsible for performing chiller inspections and maintenance.&nbsp; An ideal candidate will be customer service oriented and work well with others. Position requires a high level of correspondence with Project Managers, Service Coordinators and customers.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Perform routine, and unscheduled, maintenance and repair of industrial mechanical systems including air cooled chillers, centrifugal chillers, pumps, cooling towers, air handler units, valves, fan coil units, variable air volume systems, etc.</li> <li>Diagnose and repair of machine and equipment defects including electronic, mechanical, and electrical components related to these systems. Also includes diverse service issues, obtaining any replacement parts, calibrate system to manufacturer’s recommendations, and explain fully to customer what the issue is and what is needed to correct.</li> <li>Oversee installation and operation of various mechanical systems.</li> <li>Lead role in defining and developing the training, materials, and tools needed to support our chiller/HVAC maintenance business.</li> <li>Be available to work some nights or weekends, on a rotating basis, to service emergency needs of our customers.</li> <li>Maintain good working order of company vehicle including refueling as necessary, reporting any mechanical issues. Vehicles should be washed on a regular basis. Proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment shall always be maintained in the vehicle.</li> <li>Maintain all relevant documentation related to all services and tasks performed, including make, model, serial number, necessary test measurements, and pictures, as necessary.</li> <li>Provide detailed, complete, and timely paperwork as required.</li> <li>Identify and report to supervisor/manager potential business, including site visits, conference calls with subcontractors and cost estimation.</li> <li>Provides updates to communicate to dispatch, parts procurement, supervisors, and managers, as needed, to keep company and customers informed about work progressions.</li> <li>Scheduling and coordinating services with the customer.</li> <li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent required.</li> <li>Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.</li> <li>Current HVAC certification and OSHA 10 certification required.</li> <li style="font-weight: bold;"><strong>Multistack/Airstack knowledge required</strong></li> <li>Minimum 5+ years of experience as an HVACR service technician in a commercial environment.</li> <li>Startup experience with various brands of HVAC equipment preferred.</li> <li>Chiller and cooling tower experience preferred.</li> <li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and proficiency using handheld devices such as smartphones, tablets, or laptops.</li> <li>Strong electrical knowledge required; EPA Universal Certification and/or related certifications (HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, Gas Installer, etc.) preferred.</li> <li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities and tasks.</li> <li>Ability to work in diverse environments, including mechanical equipment rooms, extreme weather conditions, high/medium/low voltage exposure, and elevated heights.</li> <li>Ability to crawl, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and balance as required.</li> <li>Must regularly lift to 50 lbs. and frequently lift or move up to 75 lbs.</li> <li><strong> </strong><strong>Other Skills &amp; Abilities</strong></li> </ul> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong><u>Language Skills</u></strong><br>Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.<br><br></p> <p><strong><u>Mathematical Skills</u></strong><br>Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.<br><br><strong><u>Reasoning Ability</u></strong><br>Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Mental stamina for problem solving and prioritizing multiple tasks.</p> <p><strong><u>Environmental Requirements</u></strong></p> <p>Will be required to work in a field environment, multiple customer sites daily.</p> <p><strong><u>Physical Demands</u></strong></p> <p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to operate computer keyboard reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is continually required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
