<p><span data-contrast="auto">Apex Companies LLC is seeking a highly motivated civil engineer who has the desire to step in and lead civil engineering design projects and provide direction to our civil design teams. This position would serve a diverse portfolio of both public and private clients within our existing portfolio and would require individuals who have a strong desire to want to be client facing and out developing relationships in the marketplace. A large majority of our projects are multi-disciplinary and look to incorporate our full breadth of services. <p><strong>Primary Job Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Plan, administer and design civil engineering projects.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"335559739":0}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Coordinate project needs and deliverables with other discipline leads and business units</span><span data-ccp-props="{"335559739":0}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Manage design staff as lead engineer on project tasks.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"335559739":0}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Provide leadership in efficient and constructability design of civil projects.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"335559739":0}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Establish and maintain client relationships; ensure client satisfaction and ensure that client objectives are met.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"335559739":0}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Participate in business development opportunities.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"335559739":0}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Participate in professional organizations and functions.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"335559739":0}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Mentor young professionals.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"335559739":0}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Estimate and budget labor hours for design projects; review job costing reports.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"335559739":0}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Manage project financials and billings for projects.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"335559739":0}"> </span></li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Required Qualifications </strong></p>
<ul>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">A bachelor’s in civil engineering and professional registration is required or obtainable within a year of hire (Washington)</span><span data-ccp-props="{"335559739":0}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">5+ years' experience as a consulting engineer providing design and project management of land development and municipal projects</span><span data-ccp-props="{"335559739":0}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">A solid understanding of civil design and construction standards, and environmental conditions / constraints.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"335559739":0}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">A proven history of meeting project deadlines and budgets.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"335559739":0}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Flexibility and creativity in engineering approaches</span><span data-ccp-props="{"335559739":0}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Proficient skills in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, hydrology modeling and MS software applications</span><span data-ccp-props="{"335559739":0}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clients, staff and management.</span><span data-ccp-props="{"335559739":0}"> </span></li>
</ul>
<p><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Desirable Qualifications</span><span data-ccp-props="{"335559738":240,"335559739":240}"> </span></strong></p>
