About the role

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of civil engineering projects such as roadways, stormwater management systems, and site layouts.
  • Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates under the supervision of senior engineers.
  • Conduct site visits and field investigations to collect data and assess project conditions.
  •  Perform technical calculations and analyses to support project designs.
  • Utilize engineering software for modeling and simulations to optimize project outcomes.
  • Identify and propose solutions to engineering challenges encountered during project execution.
  •  Ensure project designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations.Assist in the preparation and submission of permit applications and related documentation.
  • Stay informed about relevant regulatory changes and industry standards.
  •  Work collaboratively with project teams, including engineers, architects, and construction managers.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Prepare and present technical reports and project updates to stakeholders.
  •  Assist senior engineers and project managers in coordinating project schedules and budgets.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to project leaders.
  • Contribute to the preparation of project proposals and bids.

Qualifications

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Relevant coursework or internships in civil engineering projects is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in civil engineering, preferably with a focus on site development, transportation, or municipal infrastructure.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
  •  Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other civil engineering design software.
  • Familiarity with hydrology and hydraulic modeling software is advantageous.
  • Basic understanding of GIS applications and data management.
  •  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills. 
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry practices.
