We are committed to delivering responsive, high-quality, and professional service to our clients and to one another, while continuously elevating standards of excellence across every aspect of our work.</p></div><p><strong><u>Job Summary</u></strong></p> <p>The Claims Recovery Bookkeeper works under moderate supervision to provide bookkeeping support.</p> <p><strong><u>Job Responsibilities</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Performs general bookkeeping duties.</li> <li>Receives payments and regularly reconciles monies received.</li> <li>Accounts for financial transactions and disbursements.</li> <li>Processes high volume of disbursements in a timely and accurate manner.</li> <li>Data entry into a custom database.</li> <li>Maintains historical records by filing documents and/or tracking information electronically.</li> <li>Serves as liaison between claims recovery practice group and accounting department.</li> <li>Develops and standardizes processes and procedures; proactively looks for process improvement.</li> <li>Effectively works with large team to gather relevant information.</li> <li>Occasionally attends conferences (when requested) that are sponsored by the department.</li> <li>Participates as needed in special department projects.</li> <li>Participates in training sessions regarding best practices and how to handle new projects.</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding office data.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing with internal and external contacts.</li> <li>Demonstrated working knowledge of Windows and MS suite of products such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.</li> <li>Must possess a thorough command of the English language including excellent spelling, grammar and punctuation.</li> <li>Demonstrates ability to work effectively both independently and with others in a cooperative, enthusiastic, innovative, and friendly manner to accomplish position functions and participate in team efforts.</li> <li>Demonstrates ability to adapt to changing priorities, to maintain a productive and committed work effort, and to deal with difficult situations and/or individuals, meeting deadlines and managing workload.</li> <li>Ability to accurately type 50+ words per minute.</li> <li>Ability to work overtime hours as requested.</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Education</u></strong></p> <p>The position requires a minimum High School Diploma or GED. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Equivalent training and experience may substitute for education.</p> <p><strong><u>Experience</u></strong></p> <p>The position requires a minimum of two years of corporate and/or administrative experience during which knowledge, skills and abilities applicable to the position were demonstrated. Additional education may be considered in lieu of some work experience.</p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="title">US Pay Range</div><div class="pay-range"><span>$66,000</span><span class="divider">&mdash;</span><span>$87,000 USD</span></div></div></div><div class="content-conclusion"><p>Our Firm is committed to fair and equitable compensation practice in accordance with applicable laws. Additional compensation may include a discretionary bonus.
