About the role

  • managing claims activities, with specific focus on claims arising from the transport services, including damages, losses, delays, incidents, operational disruptions and related insurance matters. 
  • supporting the company’s health & safety and compliance framework, with particular reference to the requirements arising from Italian Legislative Decree no. 81/2008, including the coordination of documentation, follow-up actions, contractual health & safety obligations and internal compliance processes. 
  •  manage the full claims lifecycle, including registration, investigation, documentation, escalation, negotiation and closure of claims relating to damages, losses, delays, incidents and operational disruptions in the transport of goods. 
  • coordinate with internal departments, customers, carriers, transport suppliers, insurers, loss adjusters, brokers and external advisors to collect information, assess liability and support claim resolution, recovery or defence activities where applicable. 
  • review claim files, transport documents, contractual terms, insurance documentation and operational records, ensuring accurate records, proper filing, traceability and timely updates of all relevant information. 
  • support the company’s health & safety framework, with particular reference to the obligations arising under Italian Legislative Decree no. 81/2008 and related compliance processes. 
  • assist with incident reporting, documentation, root-cause analysis, corrective action tracking and follow-up activities connected with health & safety events or operational incidents. 
  • coordinate the collection, review and maintenance of health & safety documentation relating to customers, suppliers, contractors and transport partners, including documentation required for audits, onboarding and compliance checks. 
  • support the review of health & safety obligations in customer and supplier contracts, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external consultants and contributing to the improvement of documentation flows, risk mitigation and internal controls. 
  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Law, Business Administration, Logistics or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in claims management, customer service, logistics, transport operations, compliance, health & safety support roles, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with integrity, confidentiality and discretion.
  • Good knowledge of claims handling processes, contractual documentation and general health & safety principles.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Fluency in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to multitask, work independently and follow through on multiple priorities in a structured and timely manner.
