<h2><strong>Position Summary</strong></h2>
<p>The <strong>Client Executive / Team Lead</strong> is responsible for managing a book of business, leading strategic benefits planning, and driving client retention, growth, and service excellence.</p>
<p>This role serves as a <strong>primary advisor to clients</strong>, providing strategic guidance on:</p>
<ul>
<li>Benefits design</li>
<li>Renewal strategy</li>
<li>Market positioning</li>
<li>Financial analysis</li>
<li>Compliance</li>
</ul>
<p>In addition to managing client relationships, this role provides <strong>day-to-day leadership and oversight</strong> of client service team members to ensure high-quality execution, accountability, and consistency across deliverables.</p>
<p>This position partners closely with Producers and internal resources to align strategy, support new business, and deliver an exceptional client experience.</p>

<h2><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h2>
<h3><strong>Client Strategy & Relationship Management</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Serve as the primary strategic advisor and senior point of contact for clients</li>
<li>Provide guidance on:
<ul>
<li>Plan design and eligibility</li>
<li>Compliance requirements</li>
<li>Market trends and developments</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Incorporate fiduciary responsibility into all client recommendations</li>
<li>Identify growth opportunities within existing and prospective client relationships</li>
</ul>

<h3><strong>Renewal & Benefits Strategy</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Lead strategy for new and renewal business:
<ul>
<li>Analyze client data</li>
<li>Evaluate market options</li>
<li>Develop recommendations</li>
<li>Negotiate competitive coverage and pricing</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Maintain strong knowledge of funding arrangements:
<ul>
<li>Fully insured</li>
<li>Level-funded</li>
<li>Self-funded</li>
<li>Emerging solutions</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Model plan options and provide financial analysis aligned to client goals</li>
</ul>

<h3><strong>Marketing & Carrier Management</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Direct the marketing process and carrier/vendor negotiations</li>
<li>Develop proposals, presentations, and client deliverables</li>
<li>Partner with Producers on new business opportunities and client meetings</li>
</ul>

<h3><strong>Team Leadership & Execution</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Provide day-to-day leadership for Client Managers and support staff</li>
<li>Delegate and monitor service work for accuracy and timeliness</li>
<li>Coach and mentor team members to ensure development and performance</li>
<li>Ensure consistent execution of service plans and client deliverables</li>
</ul>

<h3><strong>Client Service & Operations</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Oversee client communications and open enrollment strategies</li>
<li>Ensure accurate documentation in CRM and internal systems</li>
<li>Maintain quality, timeliness, and completeness across all interactions</li>
<li>Manage workflows to meet service and performance goals</li>
</ul>

<h3><strong>Professional Development</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Stay current on:
<ul>
<li>Industry trends</li>
<li>Legislation and compliance</li>
<li>Products and carrier updates</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Represent EPIC with professionalism, credibility, and sound judgment</li>
</ul>

<h2><strong>Supervisory Responsibilities</strong></h2>
<ul>
<li>Lead and develop assigned client service team members</li>
<li>Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance oversight</li>
<li>Ensure alignment, accountability, and execution across the team</li>
</ul>

<h2><strong>Key Competencies</strong></h2>
<ul>
<li>Deep knowledge of employee benefits products and funding strategies</li>
<li>Strong financial and analytical skills (underwriting, cost modeling, data analysis)</li>
<li>Leadership ability with experience coaching and mentoring teams</li>
<li>Working knowledge of compliance (HIPAA, ERISA, COBRA, ACA)</li>
<li>Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills</li>
<li>Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities</li>
<li>Highly organized with strong attention to detail</li>
<li>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment</li>
<li>Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office</li>
</ul>

<h2><strong>Qualifications</strong></h2>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience)</li>
<li>7+ years of employee benefits experience in a client-facing role</li>
<li>Prior leadership or team oversight experience strongly preferred</li>
<li>Strong ability to:
<ul>
<li>Interpret benefits plans and policies</li>
<li>Analyze financial data</li>
<li>Present recommendations to clients</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>High degree of professionalism, discretion, and business judgment</li>
</ul>

<h2><strong>Licenses & Certifications</strong></h2>
<ul>
<li>Active Texas Life & Health insurance license (required)</li>
<li>Valid driver’s license</li>
<li>Advanced designations preferred (CEBS, GBA, PHR, etc.)</li>
