What you'll build 

 

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Developer who brings deep backend expertise and the initiative to shape how we build and evolve our Service Lifecycle Management (SLM) platform. You'll work at the intersection of product master data, cloud-native architecture, and AI-driven tooling as part of an international team — with real ownership and room to lead.

 

 

• Design, develop, and own backend services for SLM using Node.js and CAP/CDS, ensuring quality, scalability, and maintainability.
• Drive technical standards: define coding guidelines, documentation practices, and automated testing strategies for the team.
• Act as a technical peer and collaborative partner to the lead developer, sharing ownership of architectural decisions.
• Translate requirements from business stakeholders, product owners, and architects into well-structured implementation packages.
• Take end-to-end ownership of features — from design through deployment — within our agile delivery model.
• Champion best practices in cloud-native development and actively contribute to our AI tooling roadmap.
• Mentor and support team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

 

What you bring

 

•  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent in computer science.
• 5+ years of professional experience in backend and/or cloud-native development.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
• Solid understanding of cloud-native architecture patterns.
• Experience working in Agile teams with a delivery-focused mindset.
• Strong communication skills — able to work across development, architecture, and business stakeholders.

 

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with SAP BTP services.
• Familiarity with React / Next.js for occasional full-stack contributions.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools or building AI-integrated features.
• Understanding of SaaS/consumption-based business models
• Knowledge of master data domain concepts – with focus on products
