<h3>About the Role: </h3> <h3>Sensible Care is now hiring a Senior Cloud & Reliability Engineer who will maintain our current stack, lead our HIPAA compliance efforts, and architect and execute a migration to another cloud ecosystem.  Our current infrastructure is primarily hosted on Linode across several Virtual Private Servers (VPS). </h3> <h4>As we scale our business and platform, we are looking for an innovative Senior Cloud & Reliability Engineer who can manage this environment with excellence while preparing us for future needs. </h4> Schedule: Mon-Fri 9am-6pm at our Headquarters located 1920 Main St, Irvine, CA 92614 What You'll Do:<span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":false,"134233118":false,"134245418":true,"134245529":true,"201341983":0,"335551550":1,"335551620":1,"335559685":0,"335559737":0,"335559738":0,"335559739":281,"335559740":279}">  <ul> <li style="line-height: 2; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Infrastructure Management: Maintain and optimize our current Linode VPS environment, ensuring high availability and performance. </li> <li style="line-height: 2; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Cloud Strategy & Migration: Conduct a "Build vs. Migrate" analysis. You will help us decide whether to stay on Linode, lead a transition to a provider like AWS, Azure, or GCP, or partner with a third-party compliance platform like Vaquito. </li> <li style="line-height: 2; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Reliability & SRE: Implement SLIs/SLOs and automated monitoring for a VPS-heavy environment. You’ll be responsible for uptime, disaster recovery, and incident response.</li> <li style="line-height: 2; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Bring automation to our current setup to ensure our VPS instances are reproducible and secure. </li> </ul> Secondary & Cross-Functional Impact: <ul> <li style="line-height: 2; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Information Security (SecOps): Take ownership of our security posture. This includes hardening Linux servers, managing firewalls (Cloud Firewalls/IPtables), and ensuring encryption at rest and in transit. </li> <li style="line-height: 2; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">HIPAA Compliance: Ensure our infrastructure meets all regulatory requirements. You will be the technical lead for HIPAA audits and security documentation. </li> <li style="line-height: 2; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Quality Assurance: Partner with developers to create automated staging environments and deployment "smoke tests" to reduce production bugs.</li> <li style="line-height: 2; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Software Engineering (Minor): Interested in the codebase?
