This role involves working closely with internal teams and external vendors to support business objectives and maintain high-performance cloud environments.</p> <p>The Cloud Systems Engineer will collaborate with cloud architects, DevOps teams, and IT personnel to manage cloud operations, automate workflows, and optimize cloud performance. Key technical areas include cloud platform management, infrastructure as code (IaC), automation, cloud security, containerization, and cloud networking.</p> <p><strong><u>Values and Behavioral Standards:</u></strong>&nbsp;</p> <p>To ensure the effective communication and application of company values and behavioral standards, as stated in our company “Code of Conduct” policy, and to respond appropriately in the event of any known departure.</p> <p><strong><u>Major Job Accountabilities (in priority order):</u></strong></p> <p>Leadership:</p> <ul> <li>Foster technical and procedural excellence within the IT department for all applicable production systems and processes</li> <li>Foster technical knowledge, design, and engineering excellence within the IT department</li> <li>Ensure systemic problems, sensitive customer situations, or unresolved customer Requests are escalated and distributed to IT management in a timely manner</li> <li>Recommend implementation standards</li> </ul> <p>Customer and System Support:</p> <ul> <li>Keep IT management apprised of critical issues</li> <li>Identify, correlate, escalate, and manage Problems</li> <li>Ensure local Service Delivery approach, processes, and procedures are aligned with organizational standards</li> <li>Collaborate with End User Services to ensure requests, incidents, and problems are handled in a timely manner and customer service expectations are met</li> </ul> <p>Design, Engineering, and Innovation:</p> <ul> <li>Facilitate the acquisition and integration of new technology into the environment</li> <li>Identify and recommend new technology value to the organization</li> <li>Research technical concepts and educate other team members as needed</li> <li>Present research / proposed projects to IT management</li> <li>Participate in technology evaluations</li> <li>Provide expertise on application integration, design, security, reliability</li> <li>Collaboration with other design teams within IT</li> </ul> <p>Monitoring &amp; Optimization:</p> <ul> <li>Recommend improvements to systems and IT support process</li> <li>Recommend implementation standards</li> <li>Define implementation standards</li> </ul> <p>Documentation &amp; Knowledge Management:</p> <ul> <li>Develop quality documentation of technical processes and procedures</li> <li>Document all ticket and project work</li> <li>Ensure documentation is sufficient to yield reproducible results</li> <li>Identify and recommend changes with existing documentation that impacts customer support</li> <li>Identify, track, any resolve gaps in existing documentation</li> <li>Assist in policy, security, and compliance documentation efforts when agreed upon</li> <li>Champion quality documentation of technical processes and procedures</li> <li>Lead knowledge transfer activities between teams</li> </ul> <p>Project Delivery:</p> <ul> <li>Track and complete assigned IT projects</li> <li>Complete tasks in a timely and quality fashion</li> <li>Adhere to implementation, quality control, and change control standards</li> <li>Keep IT management apprised of risks to project success</li> <li>Ensure that projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget</li> <li>Coordinate internal resources and 3rd party/vendors for efficient execution</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Required Qualifications:&nbsp; </u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with AWS services providing highly available, secure, and reliable services.</li> <li>3+ years of relevant systems engineering or systems administration using Operating Systems, Networking, and storage systems</li> <li>Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment</li> <li>Demonstrated results orientation, initiative, attention to detail, and customer service orientation</li> <li>Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills</li> <li>Subject Matter Competency with Active Directory and Windows OS security</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Desired Qualifications:&nbsp; </u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with AWS services such as IAM, EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, VPC, ECS/EKS, Migration Services, and Beanstalk and providing highly available, secure, and reliable services</li> <li>BS in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent experience</li> <li>Comfort with presenting in front of technical and non-technical audiences</li> <li>Experience managing full-time employee Engineering teams</li> <li>Experience with following technologies: DevOps, Ruby, Python, Perl, PowerShell,</li> <li>AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Equivalent certificate.</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Special demands</u></strong>:</p> <p>This position may require travel on an as-needed basis to domestic and international company locations, data centers, and training events.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p>The Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
