<p>Space Kinetic is a dual use space technology startup building a completely new architecture for space operations – one that brings the advantages of proliferated drone technology (low-cost, operationally flexible, attainable, distributed) to space missions while reducing the ecosystem's reliance on consumable fuel. In a world where many companies are focused on incrementally improving the status quo, we are focused on creating something entirely different – an architecture underpinned by new first principles to meet the opportunities and challenges of the third space age head-on. Our goal is to move away from one-to-one space architectures – where each satellite in a constellation has one (or a small # of) primary payloads attached to the bus -- and unlock a ‘one-to-many’ system, where each satellite has a large number of payloads which can be deployed from their host spacecraft at high velocities without firing a thruster.</p>
<p>This is not a role for someone looking for a traditional 40-hour work week. Space Kinetic is building ambitious, first-of-its-kind technology, and that requires urgency, ownership, and a high level of commitment to changing the foundational assumptions for everything we do in space.</p>

<p><strong><span data-contrast="none">What You’ll Do:</span></strong> </p>

<li><span data-contrast="auto">We are seeking a </span><strong><span data-contrast="auto">CMM Inspector</span></strong><span data-contrast="auto"> to support inspection of precision-machined aerospace components and ensure compliance with engineering and quality requirements.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
</ul>
<p><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Key Responsibilities</span></strong><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></p>
<ul>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Perform surface plate and dimensional inspection of precision machined aerospace components</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Inspect incoming and in-process parts to drawings, models, and work order specifications</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Conduct complex dimensional and visual inspections using standard inspection tools</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Program, operate, and maintain DCC CMM equipment using PC-DMIS</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Create, verify, and maintain CMM programs for production and prototype parts</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Review engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications to confirm compliance</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Document and report non-conformances and support root-cause/corrective actions</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Partner with machinists and engineers to improve quality and reduce defects</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Support quality system processes, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Verify certifications, material documentation, and supplier conformance</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
</ul>
<p><strong><span data-contrast="none">What It Takes:</span></strong><span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":0,"335559740":240}"> </span></p>
<ul>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Must have a High School Diploma or accredited equivalent </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">2+ years of quality inspection experience in a machining or manufacturing environment</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Experience inspecting precision machined components</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
</ul>
<p><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Preferred Skills & Experience</span></strong><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></p>
<ul>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Experience with PC-DMIS and DCC CMM programming</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Strong GD&T and blueprint reading skills (ASME Y14.5)</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality systems</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Experience working in an aerospace or prototype machine shop</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Proficiency with inspection tools: calipers, micrometers, indicators, height gages, thread gages, etc.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative shop environment</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-ccp-props="{}">Familiar with manual machines</span></li>
<li><span data-ccp-props="{}">Experience with 3 axis CNC's </span></li>
</ul>

<li><span data-contrast="auto">Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
