That’s why our teams are comprised of compassionate, dedicated professionals from a variety of backgrounds who collaborate to provide the very best evidence-based care for our clients at all levels of care.&nbsp;</p></div><p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Position Summary:&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>The Medical Assistant and Nursing Assistant are responsible in providing compassionate and professional care to individuals with eating disorders and assisting providers to improve quality of patient care.</p> <p><strong>Schedule:&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>Tuesday -Friday, 06:00am -2:30pm</p> <p><strong>Compensation:</strong></p> <p>$15-22 per hr&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>How Certified Nurses or Medical Assistants Empower Recovery:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Communicate with clients, staff and outside contacts&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Chart documentation&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Prepare exam rooms and room clients&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Take vitals (blood pressure, height/weight, etc.), EKGs, blood draws, accuchecks, and report results to nurse&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Assist in refilling prescriptions (within PHP)&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Help maintain inventory of medical supplies&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Call for labs, growth charts, and medical records&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Assist in care coordination with other members of patient’s treatment team&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Report questions, ideas, and concerns to nurse&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Receive and hand off report at shift change&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Set up tube feeds and pumps only after nurse confirmation of tube placement and the feed to be infused (will receive onsite training)&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Run point of care laboratory testing&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Participate and assist in meal support when covering for BHTs&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Assist with making outside appointments for patients&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Ensure proper cleaning and storage of medical equipment&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Provide immediate follow-up and communication of incidents to appropriate nurse and/or manager&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Supervise and lead milieu activities as appropriate and assigned when providing BHT support&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Other duties as assigned <strong>&nbsp;</strong></li> </ul> <p><strong>Education Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>High school degree or GED&nbsp;required</li> <li>For Medical Assistants: &nbsp;Education: Graduation from accredited Medical Assistant program required.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Certifications and/or Licenses: Certification/Registered by accredited organization; AAMA, AMT, NHA-CCMA, NCMA or ARMA required.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <ul> <li>For Nursing Assistants: Current licensure as CNA II in state where job is posted&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>Professional Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience and interest in mental health nursing desirable</li> </ul> <p><strong>Other Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Employees are required to have a current Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.  </li> <li>Employees at are required to have a current First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.  </li> <li>Employees at Residential or Inpatient sites in North Carolina or Georgia are required to have a current CPI certification within 30 days of hire. </li> <li>Employees at Residential site in Washington are required to have a Washington State Department of Health Food Handler permit within 30 days of hire.</li> </ul> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>Competencies:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Competence with Information Technology (basic computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite, Electronic Health Record, Microsoft Teams)&nbsp;</li> <li>Phlebotomy draws&nbsp;</li> <li>EKGs (pediatric and adult)&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>Workplace Environment:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>For Outpatient levels of care: Standing 65% and Sitting 35%; For Residential/Inpatient levels of care: Standing 75% and Sitting 25%&nbsp;</li> <li>Bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping or crouching when appropriate.&nbsp;</li> <li>Lift, carry, push or pull up to approx. 40 pounds (supplies, etc.)&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>What we offer:&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>Employee Benefits:</strong> We understand the importance of a well-rounded benefits package.
