About the role
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Primary Responsibility:</strong></span></p>
<p>Sets up and operates CNC Lathe – machines/inspects parts per drawing</p>
<p> </p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li>Sets up machine – set up tooling – install/machine soft jaws as required</li>
<li>Downloads program via computer.</li>
<li>Make offsets to maintain part dimension tolerance. Responsible for ensuring each part is made within designated specifications.</li>
<li>Inspects parts using precision measuring instruments – micrometers – calipers – depth micrometers bore gages – plug gages.</li>
<li>Operates hoist / automatic band saw - Saw parts to required specification as required.</li>
<li>Follows all Safety instructions and practices.</li>
<li>Follows work instructions in place.</li>

<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong></span></p>
<h1><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Knowledge/Skills/Abilities</span></h1>
<ul>
<li>Good mechanical skills.</li>
<li>Basic machine shop practices</li>
<li>Ability to use precision measuring instruments.</li>
<li>Ability to follow instructions.</li>
<li>Basic math skills.</li>
</ul>

<h1><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Education/Experience</span></h1>
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li>
<li>Trade School or pervious machine shop experience preferred</li>
</ul>

<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Physical requirements</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li>Able to lift 35 lbs. on occasion</li>
<li>Stand for extended periods - 2 hour periods</li>
<li>Some overtime required</li>
</ul>
