Lumbermen’s is 100% employee-owned and committed to investing in rewarding relationships and doing the right thing in every interaction.<strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>POSITION SUMMARY</strong></p> <p>Located at our Byron Center, MI location, the position of CNC Operator is in place for the purpose of installing glass and door bottoms, packaging, and completing other value-add processes to doors being cut by the CNC. The associate will be responsible for the timeliness, accuracy, and completion of these daily operations. &nbsp;Installing glass and other door components.</p> <ul> <li>Ensuring the proper quality, accuracy and timeliness of the prepping of all doors for specials, line, and finish.</li> <li>Properly staging all doors for production or shipping.</li> <li>Maintaining the organization, maintenance, and cleanliness of the CNC area, assigned by the CNC Supervisor&nbsp;</li> <li>Working with shipping to pull individual components for customer orders</li> <li>Ensuring that all production areas are properly supplied for the day’s work</li> <li>Performing other tasks as assigned by the CNC Supervisor</li> </ul> <p>This position offers a $300 annual clothing allowance for uniform, protective footwear, and PPE.</p> <p><strong>REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>High School diploma/GED required</li> <li>Prior woodworking would be considered a plus; router, miter saws, table saws</li> <li>Prior CNC operation would be considered a plus, but not required</li> <li>Knowledge of exterior doors would be considered a plus, but not required.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>REQUIRED SKILLS</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Strong communication skills&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to work independently&nbsp;and in a fast-paced environment&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to work safely and efficiently at all times&nbsp;</li> <li>Dependable and reliable</li> <li>Ability to accurately read orders and stage material to internal customer needs</li> <li>Strong attention to detail and desire to “do things right the first time”</li> </ul> <p><strong>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Ability to lift up to 75 lb</li> <li>Ability to stand for 8-10&nbsp;hours/day</li> </ul> <p><strong>WHAT WE OFFER:</strong></p> <p>Lumbermen’s exists to enrich the lives of people by intentionally caring for all who experience us. &nbsp;You will experience a different kind of work environment and “family” here and help live out the Lumbermen’s promises of&nbsp;<em>committing to those who count on us</em>,&nbsp;<em>doing what’s right</em>,&nbsp;<em>exercising sound business practices</em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>earning consideration</em>.
