CNC Press Brake Operator

<p><strong>ReconCraft</strong> is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented <strong>CNC Press Brake Operator</strong> to support precision metal fabrication operations in Clackamas, Oregon. This role is responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC press brake equipment to produce high-quality components that meet strict engineering specifications.</p> <p>The ideal candidate has strong experience in metal forming, the ability to interpret complex blueprints, and a commitment to maintaining tight tolerances in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position also plays a key role in quality control, troubleshooting, and continuous process improvement.</p> <p><strong>This schedule for this position is Monday through Thursday, 4pm - 2am.</strong></p> <p><strong>Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):</strong></p> <ul> <li>Operate and maintain CNC press brake equipment to perform precision forming operations</li> <li>Upload and run pre-programmed NC files and adjust machine settings as needed</li> <li>Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and determine proper bend sequences</li> <li>Set up tooling, materials, and machine configurations for each job</li> <li>Produce parts to tight tolerances while maintaining high quality standards</li> <li>Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools to ensure compliance with specifications</li> <li>Troubleshoot forming issues and make real-time adjustments to ensure accuracy and efficiency</li> <li>Document and report non-conforming parts and support quality control processes</li> <li>Maintain accurate production schedules, including timelines and completion estimates</li> <li>Follow all safety procedures while working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment</li> <li>Operate material handling equipment such as overhead cranes and forklifts (training provided)</li> <li>Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area</li> </ul> <p><strong>Essential Job Qualifications and Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Citizenship </strong></li> <ul> <li>Must be a U.S. Citizen</li> </ul> </ul> <ul> <li><strong>Education and Certifications:</strong></li> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED required</li> </ul> </ul> <ul> <li><strong>Required Experience</strong> <ul> <li>5–10+ years of experience operating CNC press brake or similar forming equipment</li> <li>Proven ability to run complex parts independently</li> <li>Strong understanding of bend deduction, bend allowance, and material behavior</li> <li>Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <ul> <li><strong>Skills &amp; Competencies</strong> <ul> <li>Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills</li> <li>High attention to detail with the ability to maintain tight tolerances</li> <li>Experience with hand, air, and power tools</li> <li>Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to quality standards</li> <li>Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <ul> <li><strong>Work Environment &amp; Physical Requirements</strong> <ul> <li>Ability to lift up to 50 pounds</li> <li>Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, climbing, and reaching</li> <li>Work performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and varying conditions</li> <li>Flexibility to work extended hours as needed to meet production deadlines</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p><div class="content-conclusion"><p><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><strong>About Copper River &amp; The Native Village of Eyak:</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Owned by the Native Village of Eyak (NVE), a federally recognized Alaska Native Tribe, the Copper River Family of Companies are a collection of entities that deliver a complementary set of solutions and services to support the diverse missions and requirements of our clients.
