About the Role

What You'll Do

  • Close deals on behalf of our clients to secure the tools they need at the best price
  • Negotiate strategic enterprise agreements directly with software vendors to maximize savings for our clients
  • Work collaboratively with client leadership teams to align on their requirements
  • Be an expert on a variety of software contract structures leveraging internal and external data
  • Advise and consult customers on their negotiation and sourcing strategy
  • Maintain operational excellence to thoroughly update our Clients on your progress to ensure high customer satisfaction
  • Consistently refresh your negotiation abilities through self-guided and internal trainings
  • Foster trust in both our Clients and the Suppliers you interface with to ensure that the Tropic brand is held in a positive light throughout the industry
  • Participate in Tropic team-building activities and find ways to integrate your personality into our culture
  • Get deals done!


What You’ve Done

  • Experience with one or more of the following: software procurement, enterprise account management, procurement management, or category management at a SaaS Company
  • Top-performing mid-market SaaS account managers or account executives, procurement specialists/managers.At least one year of experience negotiating software contracts
  • Strong communication skills and high emotional intelligence
  • Results-focused orientation
  • Verifiable track record of high performance
  • Desire to own and execute on projects with autonomy
  • Expert project manager
  • Someone who’s excited about building something
  • Growth mindset


Compensation

  • Specific to pay transparency laws, the minimum OTE for this position is $105,000 inclusive of commission. This will also include incentive stock options and benefits. The final job level and compensation will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, years of relevant experience, skills, qualifications, certifications, geographic location, and other business considerations.
