Commercial Finance Analyst

 

 

 

Reporting to the Finance Director CEE, the Commercial Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in business partnering with the commercial teams to drive profitable growth. This role will actively identify, drive and implement improvements to processes and ways of working to drive accuracy and control, improve efficiency and deliver key insights to the business to influence decision making. 

 

 

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: 

•  Actively participate in the month-end closing process and support the preparation of forecasts and budgets  
• Prepare post-closing analyses and perform variance analysis versus budget and forecast  
• Review and approve purchase orders in line with company policies  
• Regularly review accruals and provisions to ensure accuracy and completeness  
• Identify and recommend cost optimization opportunities 
• Collaborate closely with supported business departments to provide financial guidance and insights  
• Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses as required  
• Support the broader Commercial Finance team in day-to-day activities and projects  
•  Prepare and submit required reports to the Central Statistical Office (GUS)
•  Ensure compliance with SOX controls and internal control requirements  

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE: 

• University degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field
• Relevant professional experience in a similar role; experience within the FMCG industry is preferred
• Solid knowledge of financial and management accounting principles
• Good command of English, both written and spoken
• Proactive, business-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions
• Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Very good knowledge of MS Excel
• Experience in building reports in Power BI will be considered an asset
• Knowledge of SAP will be considered an asset
