What you will do:

• Manage assigned commodity buy lines, including sourcing, issuing purchase orders, and executing day-to-day vendor communications.
• Maintain strong working relationships with partner vendors to ensure competitive pricing, dependable supply, and timely issue resolution.
• Monitor inventory levels and open purchase orders to support product availability, demand forecasting, and replenishment processes.
• Actively manage and resolve back orders, shortages, and delivery delays in coordination with vendors, logistics, and internal teams.
• Review and resolve billing discrepancies, invoice mismatches, pricing issues, and work cross-functionally with accounting teams as needed.
• Participate in vendor performance reviews and support quality, delivery, and cost improvement initiatives.
• Assist with product transitions, line reviews, and sourcing initiatives, including cost-saving projects and supplier evaluations. 

 

What you will bring:

• Strong Excel and analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales and pricing data with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel proficiency required).
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.

 

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• This job is performed primarily in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. 
• Repetitive motion of wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

Location –Ithaca, NY 

Schedule – Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm

Compensation - $55,000 - $60,000 based on experience
