About the role

<p><strong>JOB PURPOSE:&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>This role sits at the heart of our flagship energy events’ year-round conference programme. As a Conference Producer, you will lead on all stages of the conference lifecycle across three programmes: from developing session abstracts and shaping editorial content, to managing speaker relationships and coordinating closely with industry stakeholders. You will join a team of four producers and report to the Senior Conference Director, working alongside colleagues across sales, marketing and operations.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>Conference Production</p> <p>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Liaising with Conference speakers/ moderators and their communication teams for placement on the agenda</p> <p>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Conduct in depth research to feed into the creation of a Conference message house, build key strategic themes and develop programme agendas. You will work with industry stakeholders, advisory boards and validated industry sources.&nbsp;</p> <p>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Joining sponsorship calls and meetings with existing and potential clients where necessary&nbsp;</p> <p>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Ensuring that the conference agenda is at the highest level of commercial viability for both sponsorship and delegate sales</p> <p>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Recruiting highly esteemed leading experts, industry representatives, regulators, government representatives, and other relevant speakers to your programme faculty</p> <p>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Researching and providing strategic information required to go to market, including:&nbsp;<br>o &nbsp; &nbsp;detailed information on the target market both in terms of sector and geographic markets<br>o &nbsp; &nbsp;relevant industry associations and publications<br>o &nbsp; &nbsp;competitive events</p> <p>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Attending industry conferences to promote the conference, gather market intelligence, and to network with potential speakers and delegates to establish and maintain relationships pre- and post- conference</p> <p>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Work closely with the Marketing team to promote the conference agendas inc. feeding into social posts and EDMs, and proofing brochures and assets.</p> <p>Conference Project Management</p> <p>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Maintaining close links with management to ensure that they are kept up to date with the status of events. Preparing and sending weekly reports, as appropriate</p> <p>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Working closely with the operations team to ensure delivery of a first-class on-site conference experience for attendees.</p> <p>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Help with the required administrative jobs where needed. Ensure programmes are kept up to date and conference updates are reflected across conference collateral inc. website and brochures.</p> <p>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Travelling nationally and internationally to conferences and onsite project and team management to ensure the successful, high-quality delivery of customer services and event experience to delegates and speakers.</p> <p><br><strong>QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, &amp; SKILLS:&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>• &nbsp; &nbsp;You have experience in developing high-quality conference programmes, with hands-on experience managing the full content lifecycle from the research phase to onsite delivery&nbsp;<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;You can manage multiple sub-programmes and feature agendas simultaneously, keeping quality and momentum across each.<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;You understand how content strategy connects to commercial outcomes and can contribute meaningfully to marketing and sales campaigns.</p> <p>Skills and Behavioural Competencies</p> <p>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Strong networking instincts and the ability to identify, approach and build relationships with senior industry figures<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Confident communication with industry stakeholders, whether in calls, meetings or written communication with executives and experts<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Collaborative by nature, with experience working across content, marketing, sales and operations teams<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Highly organised and self-directed, with the discipline to manage competing priorities&nbsp;<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Analytical producer, with the ability to distil complex topics, spot connections across sectors, and translate them into compelling session concepts<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;An agile learner who can develop subject-matter knowledge across core industry themes<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Solutions-oriented and resilient under pressure with a clear drive to deliver work you're proud of</p> <p>You should be open to international travel, as required by the job role.</p> <p><strong>dmg events is an equal opportunity employer.
