This role provides hands-on leadership to technicians and laborers, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications. The Foreman supports project execution by coordinating schedules, reviewing plans, maintaining quality standards, and overseeing tasks such as fiber installation, structured cabling, and system troubleshooting</p> <p><strong>Essential Job Responsibilities </strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Leading Teams:</strong> Responsible for leading and managing a team of Network Technicians and laborers by assigning tasks, setting clear expectations, and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications. Oversees daily crew production and provides constructive feedback and timely performance evaluations.</li> <li><strong>Training and Development:</strong> Trains new hires and apprentices, while also providing ongoing development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and job performance.</li> <li><strong>Work Planning and Scheduling:</strong> Plans and schedules telecommunication work to meet project deadlines. Coordinates with project managers, other trades, and reviews blueprints and specifications to allocate labor and resources effectively.</li> <li><strong>Quality Assurance:</strong> Conducts regular inspections of work in progress to ensure compliance with project standards, codes, and regulations. Identifies deficiencies and implements corrective actions to maintain high-quality workmanship.</li> <li><strong>Safety Compliance:</strong> Enforces all safety policies and procedures. Conducts daily safety meetings and ensures that team members use proper PPE and follow OSHA and company safety guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.</li> <li><strong>Material and Equipment Management:</strong> Manages procurement, inventory, and proper use of materials, tools, and equipment. Ensures timely maintenance and repair of equipment as needed to avoid delays.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><em>Other duties may be assigned as needed to support business operations.</em></p> <p><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong></p> <p><strong>Required: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Network Designs: Comprehensive understanding of Front-End, Back-end networks as well as General Systems including splicing, testing, fiber trunk pulls, circuits audit, structured cabling, OSP, fiber jetting, fiber termination, Optic troubleshooting, distribution panels, and control systems.</li> <li>Telecom Codes and Regulations: Familiarity with national, state, and local telecom/electrical codes (Div27) and regulations governing construction and installation practices to ensure compliance and safety.</li> <li>Blueprint Reading: Proficiency in reading and interpreting technology blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan and execute electrical installations accurately.</li> <li>Safety Protocols: Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards and practices, including OSHA regulations, to maintain a safe work environment and prevent accidents and injuries.</li> <li>Materials and Equipment: Understanding of Connectivity materials, tools, and equipment used in construction and maintenance projects, including their specifications, applications, and proper handling procedures.</li> <li>Troubleshooting: Ability to identify and troubleshoot Connectivity problems, diagnose faults, and implement effective solutions to resolve issues efficiently.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Physical Demands and Work Environment</strong></p> <p>The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
