Our forensic accountants, engineers, project managers, architects, schedulers, and industry specialists are experts in the valuation of construction works of all types and have experience handling projects in every corner of the world. That's why our team was honored as to receive the 2024, 2025, and 2026 #1 rank in the Global Arbitration Review Expert Witness Firms’ Power Index and <em>Who's Who Legal's</em> Construction Expert Witness Firm of the Year for 2023.</p> <p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p> <ul> <li>Research and fact-finding</li> <ul> <li>Reviewing technical and non-technical documentation (change orders, blueprints and technical engineering drawing, reports, cost estimates, correspondence, market data, financial data, etc.…) to identify key details and metrics used to develop expert reports.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Through research, develop keen understanding of all relevant information pertaining to legal disputes regarding largescale construction projects</li> </ul> <li>Detailed data analysis</li> <ul> <li>Review large datasets using multiple analytical methods and tools to identify tends, anomalies, and other details which may have led to cost and schedule overruns&nbsp;</li> </ul> <li>Quantification of cost overruns and damages</li> <ul> <li>Knowledge of project job costs and controls&nbsp; (or desire to learn)</li> <li>Apply analytical methods to large datasets to calculate damages and cost overruns in largescale construction projects</li> <li>Assist in drafting expert reports, converting technical data into a narrative to be submitted to appropriate court venues</li> </ul> <li>Economic modeling</li> <ul> <li>Analyzing financial data and market data to determine lost profits due to schedule delays and cost overruns.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> </ul> <li>Case strategy</li> <ul> <li>Assist colleagues and executives in identifying the best approach to individual litigation/arbitration matters to assist clients in attaining a desired legal decision&nbsp;</li> </ul> <li>Supporting world-renowned Quantum experts in dispute resolution, litigation support and expert witness testimony</li> </ul> <p><strong>REQUIREMENTS</strong></p> <ul> <li>Degree level education in Engineering, Construction or Quantity Surveying related field, Master’s degree and/or Professional Engineer’s license preferred but not required.</li> <li>Ideally at least 1 year of relevant engineering, construction, or project management related industry experience (but not required)</li> <li>Experience in writing or contributing to Quantum Expert (or technical) reports (or desire to learn)</li> <li>Familiarity with construction cost management</li> <li>Broad experience across a range of construction/engineering projects</li> <li>Proficient with Microsoft Excel and comfortable with large sets of data</li> <li>Able to adapt to a dynamic consultancy environment.</li> <li>Able to develop creative approaches and solutions necessary to resolve complex problems</li> <li>Able to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure</li> <li>Excellent communication and presentation skills</li> <li>Willing to occasionally travel within the US and/or internationally</li> <li>Must be authorized to work in the US without the need for sponsorship in the future</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p></p> <p>At Secretariat, we believe in pay transparency and equity. <span data-teams="true">Compensation for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including experience, skills, and location.
