About the role
- Manage day-to-day construction activities across active mission critical projects.
- Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
- Monitor project schedules, sequencing, and milestone completion.
- Oversee field execution for civil, structural, architectural, electrical, and mechanical scopes.
- Support installation oversight for mission critical infrastructure including:
- UPS systems
- Switchgear
- Generators
- Electrical distribution systems
- Cooling infrastructure
- Utility and substation coordination
- Conduct site walks and monitor quality control throughout all phases of construction.
- Identify and resolve field issues, schedule impacts, and coordination conflicts.
- Participate in owner meetings, construction meetings, and progress reporting.
- Review RFIs, submittals, schedules, and field documentation.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, site safety protocols, and operational procedures.
- Support commissioning coordination, turnover activities, and project closeout efforts.
- Drive schedule adherence and assist in maintaining overall project performance.
- 5+ years of construction management experience.
- Prior experience supporting data center, mission critical, industrial, or large commercial construction projects.
- Strong understanding of MEP systems and critical infrastructure environments.
- Experience managing subcontractors and field construction operations.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Experience working in fast-paced, schedule-driven construction environments.
- Strong communication and coordination skills across multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency with construction management software and reporting tools.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety best practices.
- Hyperscale data center project experience.
- Experience supporting multi-phase campus developments.
- Electrical or mechanical systems background preferred.
- Familiarity with commissioning and startup activities.
- Experience working directly with owner-side or developer-side teams.
- Procore, BIM, or similar project management software experience preferred.
- Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, twist, bend, and climb stairs or ladders for extended periods while navigating uneven, unpaved, or obstructed terrain.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
- Must be able to drive between job sites and access all areas of an active construction zone, including raised platforms, scaffolding, and confined spaces.
- Must be able to tolerate exposure to outdoor weather conditions, dust, and construction-related noise, vibrations, and odors.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, and site personnel, and maintain situational awareness in high-activity environments.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety vests, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots, is required.
- Must have sufficient visual acuity to read drawings, specifications, and safety signage, and to observe site activity.
