<p><strong>Pay</strong>: $115,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year</p>
<p><strong>Schedule</strong>: Monday to Friday – Weekends as needed</p>

<p><strong>Key Responsibilities of the Construction Operations Director include</strong>:</p>
<p>Administration & Planning –</p>
<ul>
<li>Collaborates with President, Vice President and CFO to review budget, WIP statements, department performance, and growth planning</li>
<li>Monitors the construction industry and remains current with trends, labor, markets, technologies and competition. To effectively forecast workforce capacity shortages and surpluses based on seasons and schedules and adjust accordingly</li>
<li>Partnering with HR to ensure accurate record keeping (JLA badging, time keeping, etc.) throughout the department, as well as relevant licensing and credentialing of mechanics to ensure staff remain current</li>
</ul>
<p>Estimating and Sales -</p>
<ul>
<li>Reviews pre-construction estimates for accuracy and variance to expected performance, collaborating with the Chief Estimator to act as needed</li>
<li>Controls labor and material cost by ensuring standards are met in staffing, compensation, overtime, safety, quality, productivity, inventory, purchasing and usage</li>
<li>Collaborates with the accounting department to ensure all projects are completed, invoiced, closed and collected accurately and within required time frames</li>
</ul>
<p>Service and Support -</p>
<ul>
<li>Maintains high levels of mechanical expertise by staying current on trade-specific development and innovation. Establishes departmental standards of performance, process and procedures</li>
<li>Develops, implements, and maintains a formal ongoing departmental quality assurance and improvement program. Ensures any applicable regulatory/departmental quality standards are met</li>
<li>Coordinates with Fleet to ensure company vehicles are well maintained by performing ongoing inspection and reporting</li>
</ul>
<p>People & Safety -</p>
<ul>
<li>Works closely with HR to recruit, on-board, and develop construction staff</li>
<li>Oversees, directs, and supports construction management staff</li>
<li>Provides 90-day, first 6-month, and ongoing annual reviews of direct reports</li>
<li>Ensures all direct reports have a clear understanding of roles and standards, counsels as necessary</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualified candidates will have</strong>:</p>
<ul>
<li>High School Diploma, G.E.D., or College Degree (Preferred)</li>
<li>Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience</li>
<li>The ability to perform takeoffs and read construction blueprints and estimates</li>
<li>The ability to gather, analyze, and appropriately act on data</li>
<li>The ability to collaborate and work well with others to accomplish shared goals</li>
<li>Time management skills and ability to switch tasks effectively; ability to learn and apply learning quickly</li>
<li>PC computer skills</li>
<li>Understanding of financial statements, including WIP’s</li>
<li>Must have a valid driver's license</li>
</ul>
