This role is ideal for a professional who is passionate about modernizing the Office of the CFO—reimagining finance operating models, optimizing end-to-end finance processes, and enabling data-driven decision-making through technology, automation, and analytics.</p> <p>As a Senior Consultant, you will drive complex finance transformation engagements, work with high-performing project teams, and partner closely with CFOs and senior finance leaders to deliver measurable business outcomes. You’ll work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial consulting environment while helping clients translate strategy into sustained execution.</p> <p><strong>What you’ll do</strong></p> <p><strong>Client Delivery</strong></p> <ul> <li>Drive <strong>end-to-end finance transformation initiatives</strong>, including current-state assessments, target operating model design, process reengineering, technology enablement, and change management.</li> <li>Partner with senior finance executives (CFOs, Controllers, FP&amp;A leaders) to align finance capabilities with enterprise strategy, growth objectives, and value creation priorities.</li> <li>Design and implement future-state finance processes across the finance value chain, including <strong>FP&amp;A, Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, and Close &amp; Consolidation</strong>.</li> <li>Drive modernization of the Office of the CFO through <strong>automation, AI, analytics, and finance systems</strong>, ensuring solutions are scalable and adoption-ready.</li> <li>Leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis, synthesize complex information, and support data-driven recommendations for clients, exercising sound judgment in evaluating outputs.</li> <li>Apply AI technologies (e.g., generative AI, automation tools, data models) to enhance insights, improve delivery efficiency, and elevate the quality of client outcomes</li> </ul> <p><strong>Team Leadership</strong></p> <ul> <li>Collaborate closely with consultants and cross-functional team members, sharing experience and insights to strengthen finance transformation capabilities and enhance overall team performance.</li> <li>Contribute hands-on support to analyses, deliverables, and client communications, ensuring high-quality outputs and alignment with project objectives.</li> <li>Model strong teamwork and accountability by aligning individual contributions with West Monroe’s transformation methodologies and delivery standards, while fostering an inclusive and collaborative team environment.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Business Development &amp; Client Growth</strong></p> <ul> <li>Serve as a trusted advisor and <strong>identify opportunities to expand finance transformation scope</strong> within existing client engagements.</li> <li>Contribute to proposals, thought leadership, and solution development focused on CFO transformation, finance modernization, and value realization.</li> <li>Stay current on emerging finance trends, technologies, and operating model innovations to continuously elevate client impact.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Practice Development</strong></p> <ul> <li>Contribute to the growth of the Office of the CFO practice by developing <strong>methodologies, playbooks, tools, and reusable assets</strong>.</li> <li>Support recruiting, onboarding, and training initiatives to build a high-performing finance transformation team.</li> <li>Represent West Monroe through industry events, conferences, and external thought leadership.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What you’ll bring</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).</li> <li>3+ years of experience working on Finance Transformation initiatives, advising the Office of the CFO on large-scale process, operating model, data, and technology programs.</li> <li>Deep functional expertise across the finance lifecycle, including <strong>Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, FP&amp;A, Close &amp; Consolidation</strong>, and adjacent enterprise processes.</li> <li>Experience modernizing finance through <strong>automation, AI, analytics, and finance systems</strong>.</li> <li>Strong understanding of financial close, consolidation, financial reporting, and process optimization.</li> <li>Advanced analytical and data visualization skills; strong Excel proficiency and comfort translating data into executive-ready insights.</li> <li>Experience integrating AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) into day-to-day workflows to enhance productivity and insight generation, coupled with strong critical thinking to assess accuracy, mitigate bias, and ensure high-quality outputs.</li> <li>Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level storytelling and polished client-facing presence.</li> <li>Experience in one or more of West Monroe’s core industries preferred: Consumer &amp;
