Responsibilities include: <ul> <li>Scoping and launching new projects.</li> <li>Supporting primary and secondary research.</li> <li>Procuring test equipment and arranging laboratory tests.</li> <li>Supporting laboratory and field investigations.</li> <li>Fostering coalition-building.</li> <li>Supporting legal, regulatory, and policy reviews.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Develop and maintain budget forecasts and project schedules across multiple projects.</li> <li>Coordinate research with state programs and independent entities.</li> <li>Ensure high-quality deliverables, including spreadsheets with supporting calculations, memos, reports, and presentations.</li> <li>Contribute to business development and proposal writing.</li> <li style="margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 0; vertical-align: middle;"><span style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;">Leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis, synthesize complex information, and support data-driven recommendations for clients, exercising judgment in evaluating outputs.&nbsp;</span></li> <li style="margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 0; vertical-align: middle;"><span style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;">Apply AI technologies (e.g., generative AI, automation tools, data models) to enhance insights, improve delivery efficiency, and elevate the quality of client outcomes.</span></li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical field (mechanical or electrical engineering preferred). Higher degrees such as a master’s or Ph.D. can substitute for up to 2 years of relevant experience.</li> <li>8+ years of relevant work experience.</li> <li>Proven ability to contribute to complex projects with a problem-solving orientation that prioritizes client needs.</li> <li>Highest ethical standards.</li> <li>Strong ability to distill complex technical findings into accessible summaries, tailor content to diverse stakeholders, and maintain consistency and rigor across multi-section documents with multiple contributors.</li> <li>Demonstrated project management experience, including strong organizational skills and experience coordinating interdisciplinary teams to manage timelines and deliverables.</li> <li>Ability to collaborate effectively with people at all levels within an organization.</li> <li>Excellent communication and presentation skills.</li> <li>Strong attention to detail.</li> <li>Confidence, enthusiasm, humility, and discretion.</li> <li>Willingness for periodic travel.</li> <li>Desire and ability to work remotely.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Desired Qualifications</strong></p> <p>Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable:</p> <ul> <li>National, state, and local building energy code development or implementation (e.g., California Title 24, Part 6; Energy Conservation Construction Code of New York State (ECCCNYS); ASHRAE 90.1; International Energy Conservation Code).</li> <li>Federal and/or state appliance standards, test procedures, and specifications (e.g., DOE, California Title 20, ENERGY STAR).</li> <li>Building performance standards.</li> <li>Codes and standards for electric vehicle charging infrastructure or transportation electrification.</li> <li>Research, testing, or standards development for water heating.</li> <li>Research, testing, or standards development for motors and drives.</li> <li>Experience with industrial process loads or industrial product energy efficiency measures.</li> <li> <p style="margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;">Experience integrating AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) into day-to-day workflows to enhance productivity and insight generation, coupled with strong critical thinking to assess accuracy, mitigate bias, and ensure high-quality outputs.&nbsp;</p> </li> <li>Ability to travel up to 75% annually.</li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p>Based on our pay transparency guidelines, a reasonable expectation for the salary range for this role is listed below. <span data-contrast="auto">Individual salaries are determined by evaluating a variety of factors including geography, experience, skills, education, and internal equity.​</span><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;335559739&quot;:180}"> <span data-ccp-props="{&quot;335559685&quot;:2160,&quot;335559739&quot;:180}">&nbsp;The salary range listed reflects all West Monroe geographies.
