About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support RFP / RFQ / bid preparation for gas metering and AMI-related opportunities
- Define technical and operational approaches aligned with client requirements
- Contribute to scope definition, cost inputs, and execution strategies
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure competitive and compliant proposals
- Provide subject matter expertise in:
- Natural gas metering systems
- AMI / AMR deployments (gas preferred)
- Meter-to-cash considerations (nice to have)
- Support solution design and implementation strategies for gas utilities
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, field ops, vendors)
- Support mobilization planning for awarded projects
- Define delivery frameworks, timelines, and resource planning
- Ensure alignment between bid assumptions and execution reality
- Act as a trusted advisor to internal teams and external stakeholders
- Support discussions with utilities, contractors, and partners
- Provide insight into industry best practices, standards, and regulatory considerations
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 8+ years of experience in the natural gas utility sector
- Strong background in:
- Gas metering (required)
- Gas distribution / operations (preferred)
- Proven experience in:
- Program / project management
- Field operations or utility environments
- Solid understanding of:
- Utility workflows
- Safety and compliance standards
- Experience with AMI / AMR deployments (gas strongly preferred)
- Previous involvement in bidding / proposal development
- Experience working with or within:
- U.S. utilities
- EPCs or utility contractors
