We are guided by the following set of values and behaviors–optimism, integrity, excellence, inclusion, co-creation and boldness–and look forward to hearing about how your past experiences align with them. <h3>Associate, Containment</h3> The Venue Infrastructure (VNI) team plays a critical role in delivering Games-specific temporary infrastructure for competition and non-competition venues to ensure that they are functional, innovative, and fully accessible for the Olympic and Paralympic Games. As part of the larger Sport and Games Delivery group, the VNI team ensures that all venues are designed, developed, and delivered with the highest standards for functionality, sustainability, and inclusion.  Reporting to the Manager, Containment, this role will be responsible with helping support and share this workload with Managers to be able to achieve this milestone. In order to maintain the pace of future TVDB submittals, this will require similar additional roles as the required level of detail and number of venues increases.    The Associate, Containment will coordinate publication of design packages through project milestones of stakeholder review, procurement, and permitting. Collaboration across the LA28 organization will be done to meet cost, scheduling and quality targets.   <h3>Key Responsibilities:</h3> <ul> <li>Collaborate with internal teams on containment technical design and development.   </li> <li>Follow technical engineering design guides and principles and adapt IOC requirements to local practices.  </li> <li>Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders’ requirements to develop cost effective and consolidated containment.  </li> <li>Support the development  and review processes for plans to meet departmental milestones.  </li> </ul> Cross-Functional Collaboration   <ul> <li>Integrate and influence venue design to allow for efficient containment solutions.  </li> <li>Support infrastructure requirements for Broadcast, Energy, Technology and Venue Development, amongst other stakeholders, to align cable routes where possible for containment planning.  </li> <li>Support the development of the containment portion of the venue design books and technical publications. Advance engineering designs through increasing levels of detail for construction drawings.  </li> <li>Support the development of integrated workplans and schedules with the infrastructure master schedule, event operations planning, and central Program Management.  </li> <li>Coordinate with Finance and Procurement teams to prepare costs, elevate delivery and procurement risks, and identify savings opportunities.  </li> <li>Support other cross-functional initiatives, including Permitting, Risk Management, and Event Operations.  </li> <li>Ensure compliance within workstream to Health & Safety regulations. </li> </ul> <h3>Background & Requirements:</h3> <ul> <li>Minimum of 2+ years experience with large infrastructure integration, with specific experience in containment a plus.  </li> <li>Bachelor's degree in engineering or architecture or equivalent work experience required. </li> <li>Experience with temporary pop-up, event, activation, and experiential installation design is a plus.  </li> <li>Experience with large venue, sporting events, temporary infrastructure, and overlay is a plus.   </li> <li>Experience with architectural/engineering/environmental/experiential design.  </li> <li>Advanced knowledge of engineering and collaboration tools and software (Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, SolidWorks, etc.).  </li> <li>Detail oriented with excellent command of productivity and collaboration tools (Office360, SharePoint, Smartsheet, Autodesk Cloud etc.).  </li> <li>Experience with key industry codes and practices.    </li> <li>Knowledge of key containment activities, including site preparation, grading, and remediation.  </li> <li>Knowledge of fundamental project management concepts (scope, schedule, budget).  </li> <li>Problem solve and negotiate with stakeholders to get the optimal outcomes.  </li> <li>Strong communication, team building, and interpersonal skills.  </li> <li>Demonstrated commitment to co-creation and collaborative decision-making.  </li> <li>Ability to work within a complex and demanding environment with many stakeholders while maintaining strong relationships.  </li> <li>Experience with local or major sporting events (Olympics & Paralympic Games, World Cup, etc.).  </li> <li>Ability to present information concisely to wide audience of leadership, external contractors and advisors, and governmental agencies.  </li> <li>Familiarity with temporary infrastructure projects in addition to permanent construction.   </li> <li>Well-developed problem-solving skills and ability to work independently to resolve issues.  </li> <li>Time management, organizational skills, and strong attention to detail.  </li> <li>File and asset management experience is a plus. </li> </ul> <h3>Education:</h3> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in engineering or architecture or equivalent work experience required. </li> </ul> <h3>Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:</h3> <ul> <li>Available to work onsite in our Downtown Los Angeles-based office.   </li> <li>The majority of work will be conducted in an office setting, requiring extended periods of time using computers, phones, and other office equipment.    </li> <li>The LA28 office is an open floorplan working environment; employees must be able to work efficiently in an open cubicle environment.    </li> <li>Hours of work may vary, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak event periods.  </li> <li>Perform other duties as required; the role will evolve over time and may include operational responsibilities during the Olympic and Paralympic Games.  </li> </ul> The salary range for this position is $30.29 - $35.00 per hour. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law.
