About the role
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Assisting the Continuing Airworthiness Manager to manage the compliance of the DEA CAMO iaw the regulations set out by the UK CAA, Bailiwick of Guernsey, Isle Of Man Aircraft Register, FAA and EASA
- Establishing the continuing airworthiness management contract in cooperation with the owner/operator.
- Assisting the Continuing Airworthiness Manager to ensure that an aircraft
maintenance programme including any applicable reliability programme, as required by point M.A.302 or ML.A.302 (as applicable), is developed, controlled, and approved as required. - Assisting with providing a copy of the aircraft maintenance programme to the owner or operator responsible in accordance with point M.A.201 or ML.A.201 (as applicable) for aircraft not used by air carriers licensed in accordance with UK Regulation (EC) No 1008/2008.
- Ensuring the accomplishment of any applicable:
o Airworthiness directive (AD)
o Operational directive
o Continuing airworthiness requirement established by the relevant CAA
o Measures required by the CAA in immediate reaction to a safety problem - Assessing non-mandatory modifications, inspections, or other type of non-mandatory information from the TCH/DAH (such as service letters) and deciding on their application.
- Ensuring that aircraft, engine(s), propeller(s) and components are taken to an appropriately approved maintenance organisation.
Additional Responsibilities are: - Ordering maintenance, supervising activities, and assisting with related decisions to ensure that any maintenance is carried out properly and is appropriately released for the determination of aircraft airworthiness.
- Assisting the Continuing Airworthiness Manager in establishing and managing written maintenance contracts as required by M.A.201/ML.A.201 (as applicable).
- Liaising with other relevant departments within DEA to ensure swift resolution to grounding events on fleet aircraft.
- Assisting the DEA part 145 in planning of maintenance inputs.
- Trend Monitor reported aircraft defects and liaise with Part 145s and OEMs as
required to resolve. - Manage the maintenance records of the aircraft to ensure completeness and correct storage- to include both physical and digital records.
- Responding to findings and observations as raised by internal and external auditors.
- Attending meetings with customers and Part 145 organisations as directed by the Continuing Airworthiness Manager
- Any other duties determined related to your role as directed by your line manager.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Willingness to research problem solving.
- Experience in a Part CAMO environment and basic understanding of Part-145
requirements essential. - Experience in troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Excellent Microsoft Office/Google Workspace knowledge and the application of are essential.
