We like to promote from within: Here's your chance.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Who’s who i</strong><strong>n the DC Operation space</strong></p> <p>The position reports to the <strong>Operational Process Development Manager.</strong></p> <p><strong>Your mission, should you choose to accept it:</strong></p> <p><strong>Process Improvement and Optimization</strong></p> <ul> <li>Have a full understanding of operational process and systematic flows to enable process improvements</li> <li>Assist operations with good system practice &amp; change management</li> <li>Capture, design, and make recommendations to process flow through risk, security, and productivity gap analysis</li> <li>Project manage assigned improvements and initiatives from design to implementation &amp; execution</li> <li>Suggest and implement continuous improvement projects relating to process improvements</li> <li>Provide auditing and gap analysis on processes and procedures</li> <li>Apply lean methodologies to eliminate waste and improve efficiency</li> <li>Develop and deliver presentations to communicate complex processes to non-technical audiences</li> <li>Conduct regular benchmarking initiatives to stay competitive in the industry</li> </ul> <p><strong>Training and Development</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop and maintain work standards and characteristics that promote efficient staff and facility utilisation</li> <li>Assist in the coaching of staff towards meeting and exceeding performance expectations for quantity, quality, timeliness, and efficiency</li> <li>Demonstrate, train and enforce Operational “Best Practices”</li> <li>Develop training material for new equipment and processes</li> <li>Provide solutions regarding operational training, methodologies, and onboarding procedures which include working instructions and training material</li> <li>Conduct training sessions for end-users to ensure they can effectively execute all operational processes &amp; systematic understanding</li> </ul> <p><strong>Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Compliance</strong></p> <ul> <li>Routinely audit Operational SOPs</li> <li>Constant engagement with the workforce on the operational floor to evaluate SOP adherence and training requirements</li> <li>Responsible for the rollout and upkeep of training administration automation which includes training material access, assessments, and sign-off procedures</li> <li>Ensure ongoing updating and creation of SOPs for current and new processes</li> <li>Responsible for the creation, automation, and upkeep of the SOP database</li> <li>Complete time &amp; motion studies in respective facilities</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Attributes and Qualification:</strong></p> <ul> <li>BSc or BEng Industrial Engineer, BCom Logistics, BCom Supply Chain &amp; Operations Management, or similar degree</li> <li>3 years field experience in staff training / staff development and/or process implementation</li> <li>Minimum 3 years relevant experience within DC Operations or eCommerce Industry</li> <li>Minimum 1 year working with WMS systems such as Oracle, Logfire, Manhattan, Red Prairie, SAP, Highjump or similar</li> <li>Experience in BEST OPERATING PRACTICES</li> <li>Experience in Continuous improvement / Lean Six Sigma</li> <li>Strong People management affinity</li> <li>High level of proficiency with MS Office packages</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Let’s talk about life @ Takealot Group</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>The power is in your hands</strong>: We offer a market-related Total Remuneration Package that allows full flexibility according to your needs.
