Ki te puāwai te ahurea, Ka ora te iwi
If culture is thriving, people will be well

Step into a role where purpose meets practicality at the heart of the national story of Aotearoa.

As Coordinator, Te Pae Mahara – Memorials and Commemorations, you’ll play a hands-on role in keeping the National War Memorial and Pukeahu Park looking its best and ready for the moments that matter. From coordinating maintenance and working with trusted suppliers through to supporting nationally significant ceremonies like Anzac Day, this is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You’ll be someone who enjoys rolling up your sleeves, takes pride in a job well done and brings a steady, reliable approach to keeping things running smoothly.

This is a role for someone who thrives on being active and engaged. Regular lifting, equipment setup and time spent on your feet are part of the day, particularly around events and site operations. Just as importantly, you’ll bring strong people skills, working confidently with the public, contractors, suppliers and a wide range of stakeholders. A calm, practical mindset and a natural ability to build rapport will stand you in good stead. If you’re a mature, dependable professional who enjoys variety, can work alone or with the team and takes satisfaction from contributing to something meaningful for New Zealanders, we’d love to hear from you.
