Corporate Accountant

<p><span style="color: rgb(217, 94, 0);"><strong>THE ROLE</strong></span></p> <p>We are seeking a corporate accountant to join our team, preferably based in Milan, Italy, and fluent in Italian and English (Spanish would be a plus).</p> <p><span style="color: rgb(217, 94, 0);"><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></span></p> <p>Working alongside Finance professionals, this will be an integral role in the Group Finance team:&nbsp;</p> <p>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Manage day-to-day accounting activities for multiple Group entities, ensuring completeness and accuracy of all financial transactions.&nbsp;<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Record and verify customer and supplier invoices in accordance with contracts and company policies.&nbsp;<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Maintain general ledger, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and fixed asset accounting.&nbsp;<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, intercompany balances, and other balance sheet accounts.&nbsp;<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts.&nbsp;<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Support the preparation of statutory financial statements under local GAAP and IFRS.&nbsp;<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Maintain accounting records and supporting documentation in line with audit and internal control requirements.<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Prepare VAT returns, withholding tax calculations, and other indirect tax filings.&nbsp;<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Coordinate preparation of annual corporate income tax packages and liaise with external tax advisors.&nbsp;<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Ensure compliance with Italian accounting principles, tax laws, and statutory filing deadlines.&nbsp;<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Support local audits and respond to auditor and advisor requests.&nbsp;<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Monitor regulatory and tax updates relevant to Group entities.&nbsp;<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Manage payment requests and support treasury activities.&nbsp;<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Monitor cash positions and assist with cash pooling and cash sweeping arrangements.&nbsp;<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Maintain loan schedules and interest calculations for intra-group financing arrangements.<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Update short- and medium-term cash flow forecasts.<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Support in the preparation of multi-annual budget and management reports and management. accounting in accordance with international accounting standards.<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Prepare quarterly Group intercompany recharges.</p> <p><span style="color: rgb(217, 94, 0);"><strong>SKILLS &amp; COMPETENCIES</strong></span></p> <p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:</span></p> <ul> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><strong>Time management &amp; prioritization skills</strong> - things can get a little hectic, so the ability to effectively manage yourself and your workload is critical</span></li> <li style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><strong>Excellent communication skills (in English or/and other European languages) - </strong>you must be able to organize your thoughts in a way that others find clear and compelling.
