<p>Recently acquired by Regent LP from John Wiley & Sons into an independent business, CrossKnowledge is searching for an experienced in-house <strong>Juriste D'entreprise / Corporate Counsel</strong> to support the company’s commercial contracting, procurement practices and to manage overall legal risk in the day-to-day operations of the company. The ideal candidate will be a skilled generalist with experience with employment law issues and data privacy in Europe. This role will be required to be in our office in Paris 2-3 days/week.</p>
<p><strong>Location:</strong> Paris, France. </p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Provide expert legal advice to the business on a wide range of commercial and corporate matters.</li>
<li>Negotiate and draft key commercial agreements, including content licensing (inbound & outbound), platform (SaaS) agreements, partnership, vendor, and customer contracts across various European countries and the world.</li>
<li>Manage regulatory compliance and corporate governance processes in France and across the EU.</li>
<li>Experience advising on data protection issues, intellectual property, and general commercial matters.</li>
<li>Support senior management (including HR department) with strategic legal advice, risk assessments, and cross-functional initiatives.</li>
<li>Any other duties may be assigned from time to time.</li>

<p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Master 2 degree in Business Law or equivalent (5-year law-degree – U.S. LLM).</li>
<li>Active license to practice law in a jurisdiction and capable of meeting admission requirements in relevant jurisdiction.</li>
<li>Minimum of 8 years of legal experience, preferably in-house within a multinational company.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and advise a business in a pragmatic, efficient manner that facilitates the goals of the business.</li>
<li>Fluency in both French and English, with strong drafting skills in both languages. Proficiency in other European languages highly desirable. </li>
<li>Experience with Employment Law and support of European HR departments strongly preferred.</li>
<li>Proven experience in corporate governance, contract law, and regulatory compliance</li>
<li>Project management skills and the ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines in the face of competing priorities.</li>
<li>Data Privacy / GDPR knowledge a significant plus.</li>
