Corporate Counsel

<p>We are seeking a highly skilled United States-based Employment Lawyer to join our growing legal<br>team. This position is responsible for providing expert advice on a wide range of employment and<br>labor law issues including hiring, performance management and discharge, employment<br>disputes/wrongful termination claims, disability accommodation, wage and hour, employee privacy<br>and other relevant labor and employment matters. Additionally, the role involves managing litigation,<br>overseeing all our employee form agreements, conducting training across all our geographies,<br>supervision of outside counsel and liaising with local counsel. As a key member of our growing legal<br>team, the attorney will help influence our operations and policies, ensuring compliance and best<br>practices across the organization. This attorney must have strong leadership skills, be a thoughtful<br>problem solver and a trusted business partner for numerous internal teams.</p> <p><br><strong>Essential Responsibilities:</strong><br>• Working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure our employment practices are proper and<br>well-understood within the company and to ensure compliance with regional legal requirements.<br>• Drafting and maintaining numerous employment related policies that are required for global<br>operations, including ethics, anti-corruption, anti-harassment and others.<br>• Supporting the human resources team through operational guidance and process training.<br>• Staying informed on employment and labor law issues affecting Talkdesk in our geographies.<br>• Balancing competing priorities of various constituencies.</p> <p><br><strong>Qualifications:</strong><br>• <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Law degree required and current license to practice in California or Washington State</strong></span><br>• Minimum of 5 years law firm or equivalent in-house experience<br>• Demonstrated experience in international employment law<br>• Superior writing and presentation skills<br>• Superior communication and leadership skills<br>• Self-motivated, organized, pro-active, requires little hands-on supervision<br>This position will be located in California or Washington State, and some travel is required to support<br>and train in the geographies in which we conduct business.
