Corporate Responsibility Environmental Manager

 

 

The Responsibilities:

 

The Corporate Responsibility Environmental Manager will be responsible for the following:

 

  • Program manage and coordinate annual GHG emissions inventories and validation, and enhance efficiency in GHG data collection, analysis, and reporting processes.
  • Coordinate and monitor global efforts to reduce environmental footprint and enhance environmental sustainability.
  • Forecast and facilitate alignment with emissions reduction targets.
  • Communicate progress on environmental initiatives and programs to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support ESG reporting activities through ownership of the environmental pillar in ESG frameworks and ESG ratings agency responses.
  • Lead environmental disclosure in annual reports, the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), CDP, and TCFD.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on GHG and related environmental issues, maintaining knowledge of trends and regulations.

 

The Requirements:

A successful candidate will possess the following qualities:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, Sustainable Business, or related field.
  • Six plus years of professional experience, with at least two years of experience managing GHG emissions inventories for a large organization.
  • Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple concurrent projects, self-manage and prioritize workload.
  • Proven ability in data analytics and management.
  • Extensive knowledge of all aspects of corporate GHG reporting, including framework and standard alignment and disclosure, emissions reduction targets, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong familiarity with corporate sustainability / ESG trends and regulations.
  • Leadership qualities and experience in coordinating across global teams.
  • Skilled in communication, including verbal and written English, with great interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate to audiences at all levels of a global organization.
  • Highly adaptive and self-motivated, with excellent problem-solving skills and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in maintaining confidentiality and protecting sensitive data.
  • Aptitude for technology, with an ability to rapidly become comfortable and proficient in new software.
  • Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer. The role requires communication with managers, peers and other colleagues of the company in person, and by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling and meeting functions.
  • This role does not require travel.
