In this crucial role, you will leverage your expertise in SAP and cost accounting principles to support our manufacturing costs. As a key contributor, you will play an important role in developing and maintaining cost accounting processes, analyzing financial data, and providing insights to optimize costs.</p> <h3 data-path-to-node="4">Job Responsibilities</h3> <ul data-path-to-node="5"> <li> <p data-path-to-node="5,0,0"><strong data-path-to-node="5,0,0" data-index-in-node="0">Standard Costing:</strong> Develop, implement, and maintain standard costs in SAP.</p> </li> <li> <p data-path-to-node="5,1,0"><strong data-path-to-node="5,1,0" data-index-in-node="0">Cost Updates:</strong> Manage and establish processes for periodic cost updates and communicate impacts to senior management.</p> </li> <li> <p data-path-to-node="5,2,0"><strong data-path-to-node="5,2,0" data-index-in-node="0">Variance Analysis:</strong> Establish and manage standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead; track and report variances.</p> </li> <li> <p data-path-to-node="5,3,0"><strong data-path-to-node="5,3,0" data-index-in-node="0">Cross-Functional Collaboration:</strong> Partner with engineering and operations teams to analyze and explain material and labor variances.</p> </li> <li> <p data-path-to-node="5,4,0"><strong data-path-to-node="5,4,0" data-index-in-node="0">Data-Driven Insights:</strong> Analyze historical costs, provide actionable insights, and support data-driven decision-making.</p> </li> <li> <p data-path-to-node="5,5,0"><strong data-path-to-node="5,5,0" data-index-in-node="0">Financial Planning:</strong> Work with FP&amp;A business partners to help analyze and explain Budgets vs. Standards vs. Actuals.</p> </li> <li> <p data-path-to-node="5,6,0"><strong data-path-to-node="5,6,0" data-index-in-node="0">Process Improvement:</strong> Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes, reporting, and automation.</p> </li> <li> <p data-path-to-node="5,7,0"><strong data-path-to-node="5,7,0" data-index-in-node="0">Period Close:</strong> Participate in month-end and quarter-end close processes and provide flux explanations.</p> </li> <li> <p data-path-to-node="5,8,0"><strong data-path-to-node="5,8,0" data-index-in-node="0">Inventory Analysis:</strong> Prepare quarterly inventory reserve analysis.</p> </li> <li> <p data-path-to-node="5,9,0"><strong data-path-to-node="5,9,0" data-index-in-node="0">Valuation &amp; Reconciliation:</strong> Conduct inventory valuation and reconciliation, including cycle counts and obsolescence reviews.</p> </li> <li> <p data-path-to-node="5,10,0"><strong data-path-to-node="5,10,0" data-index-in-node="0">System Efficiency:</strong> Drive initiatives for system improvements and efficiencies by participating in UAT and cross-functional projects.</p> </li> <li> <p data-path-to-node="5,11,0"><strong data-path-to-node="5,11,0" data-index-in-node="0">Special Projects:</strong> Partner with cross-functional operational teams on special projects as they pertain to Cost Accounting.</p> </li> <li> <p data-path-to-node="5,12,0"><strong data-path-to-node="5,12,0" data-index-in-node="0">Audit Support:</strong> Work closely with Finance teams and internal/external auditors as needed.</p> </li> <li> <p data-path-to-node="5,13,0"><strong data-path-to-node="5,13,0" data-index-in-node="0">Scalability:</strong> Drive continuous improvement initiatives to scale cost accounting operations.</p> </li> </ul> <h3 data-path-to-node="6">What You Need</h3> <ul data-path-to-node="7"> <li> <p data-path-to-node="7,0,0"><strong data-path-to-node="7,0,0" data-index-in-node="0">Education:</strong> Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CMA preferred.</p> </li> <li> <p data-path-to-node="7,1,0"><strong data-path-to-node="7,1,0" data-index-in-node="0">Experience:</strong> 3–5+ years of cost accounting experience, preferably in complex, multi-plant manufacturing operations.</p> </li> <li> <p data-path-to-node="7,2,0"><strong data-path-to-node="7,2,0" data-index-in-node="0">Systems:</strong> Hands-on experience with SAP or similar ERP preferred.</p> </li> <li> <p data-path-to-node="7,3,0"><strong data-path-to-node="7,3,0" data-index-in-node="0">Technical Skills:</strong> Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work with complex datasets within Excel and Google Sheets.</p> </li> <li> <p data-path-to-node="7,4,0"><strong data-path-to-node="7,4,0" data-index-in-node="0">Time Management:</strong> Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.</p> </li> <li> <p data-path-to-node="7,5,0"><strong data-path-to-node="7,5,0" data-index-in-node="0">Communication:</strong> Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.</p> </li> </ul> <p>At Archer, we aim to attract, retain, and motivate talent with the skills and leadership needed to grow our business. We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company’s strategy. For this position, we are targeting a base pay range of $83,700 - $115,100.
