Lead Counsel - Commercial

<p><strong>POS-32582</strong></p> <hr> <p>HubSpot is looking for a Lead Counsel to join the Commercial Legal Team to provide a key support role to our EMEA Sales Teams.&nbsp;</p> <h4>In this role, you’ll get to:</h4> <ul> <li>Provide first-line client-centric legal support to our Sales teams on privacy, commercial and legal issues.</li> <li>Review and negotiate commercial agreements, which may include SaaS agreements, data processing agreements, consulting agreements, non-disclosure agreements, master services agreements, and statements of work.</li> <li>Work with other various business teams on a variety of legal processes as needed.</li> <li>Partner closely with Sales stakeholders, particularly in DACH, to understand the business objectives and hurdles, and drive strategic improvements.</li> <li>Collaborate with other legal and compliance practice groups to accelerate and unlock growth for HubSpot with a customer-centric mindset.</li> </ul> <h4>We are looking for people who:</h4> <ul> <li>Are qualified to practice law in Ireland and are fluent German speaker.</li> <li>Have a minimum of&nbsp; 5+ years of relevant in-house legal experience.</li> <li>Have significant experience reviewing commercial contracts and running an independent negotiation process (Enterprise SaaS experience a plus) in DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland).</li> <li>Have excellent legal drafting skills.</li> <li>Have a strong foundation in data protection and EU privacy law.&nbsp;</li> <li>Are enthusiastic about partnering cross functionally with business stakeholders to to understand strategic goals, and make informed recommendations to achieve business objectives (Experience supporting Sales teams a plus).</li> <li>Are able to make decisions and provide advice/explain the rationale for the decision to curious and empowered teams.</li> <li>Are able to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced and transparent environment.</li> <li>Integrate technology and use/build AI in their daily practice to work smarter.</li> <li>Appreciate the customer perspective and ‘solve for the customer’ mentality.</li> <li>Develop strong relationships based on trust with team members.</li> <li>Possess strong communication skills, especially via an internal wiki, Slack and Zoom (it’s how we communicate).</li> <li>Are self-driven and solution-oriented.</li> <li>Are passionate about the values in the HubSpot <a href="http://blog.hubspot.com/blog/tabid/6307/bid/34234/The-HubSpot-Culture-Code-Creating-a-Company-We-Love.aspx">Culture Code</a>.</li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><hr> <p><span style="font-size: 16px;"><strong>Pay &amp; Benefits</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 16px;">The cash compensation below includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles.
